Description
Join our family of 5 on an adventure in the beautiful city of Ljubljana as a Workaway volunteer! From March to September, we are looking for individuals interested in helping with landscaping, DIY and building projects, general maintenance, and cooking family meals. During their stay, volunteers will also be able to share our meals, experiencing the local cuisine and culture.
Volunteers have the option to stay in in a tent. We are a family who loves to travel, meet new people, and learn about different cultures, and we are excited to share our experiences with you. English is not a problem for us, so communication will not be an issue.
All projects will be outdoors, so come prepared for some fresh air and sunshine. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to learn new skills, immerse yourself in a new culture and make lasting memories, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Workaway host family, we believe that a cultural exchange is a valuable opportunity for both our family and our volunteers. By welcoming volunteers into our home and treating them as part of our family, we hope to provide a unique and authentic experience of the local culture.
During their stay, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about our way of life, our customs and traditions, and our daily routines. They will also have the chance to improve their language skills and practice English with us. They will also be able to experience the local cuisine and culture by sharing meals with us.
We also want to share our love for travel and adventure with our volunteers, by taking them on trips around Slovenia to explore the country's natural beauty and learn about its history and culture. We believe that this will give them a deeper understanding of our country, and they will be able to share their own experiences and knowledge with us.
By participating in a cultural exchange with our family, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn new skills, immerse themselves in a new culture, and make lasting memories. We believe that this will be a valuable and enriching experience for everyone involved."

Help
Our family is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Workaway volunteers to join us in Ljubljana from May to September. We are a family of 5 with three young children and we are looking for individuals to assist us with a variety of projects including:
Landscaping: Help us maintain our outdoor spaces by cleaning the bushes, cutting and pruning.
DIY and building projects: Assist with repairs and renovations around our property.
General maintenance: Help keep our home and property in good condition by cleaning, organizing, and completing small repairs.
Cooking family meals: Assist with meal preparation, including shopping for ingredients and cleaning up after meals.
We are looking for individuals with experience or skills in one or more of these areas, but most importantly a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

In addition to the work projects, we are also eager to share and learn languages with our volunteers. We encourage our volunteers to speak with us and with our children to help them improve their language skills in a fun and natural way. We believe that this is a valuable opportunity for all of us to learn and grow together.
Accommodation
From end of May till September, accommodation will be in a tent. Volunteers can bring their own tent or we can provide one, also we provide mattress and all the bedding needed. This will give them an opportunity to experience different types of accommodation.
Food will be included in the stay. Volunteers will have the opportunity to eat with our family.
What else ...
When it comes to free time, there's plenty to do in and around Ljubljana. Slovenia is a small country with great connections via buses and trains, so it's easy to explore. There are many opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, swimming in the sea or in pools, or just spending some calm time in nature. Slovenia is known for its beautiful nature and outdoor activities.
Additionally, there are plenty of cultural activities to do such as visiting the movie, theatre, or restaurants. We can't list everything here, but we can discuss more when you arrive.
