Description
Hi! I’m a busy mum living in Carrigaline, Co. Cork with my son and daughter 9 and 11 . Family life here is full of board games, chats around the kitchen table, beach walks, BBQs when the weather behaves, and trying to create a warm, welcoming home. We love simple things — sunsets by the sea, getting outdoors, and making the most of everything Cork has to offer.
Right now, my main project is getting my home organised while some work is being done on the house. I’m looking for someone creative, practical and organised who enjoys transforming spaces and helping bring order and calm to a home environment. The project mainly involves decluttering, reorganising rooms, and helping move items from an old garage into a brand new shed so everything has a proper place. I’d love someone who enjoys styling, organising, storage ideas and making spaces feel fresh and functional. It’s more of a satisfying “before and after” project than heavy work!
We’d love to welcome someone friendly and positive who enjoys family life, likes a relaxed atmosphere and wants to experience real Irish living while helping with a fun home organisation project.
We are looking for someone for the 1st 2 weeks in August.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Carrigaline is a fantastic base to explore Cork. We’re close to beautiful beaches, cliff walks, sea swimming spots and lovely cafés, while still being very well connected to Cork City with a 24 hour bus stop right outside. There are gorgeous areas nearby like Crosshaven, Myrtleville and Fountainstown for beach days and coastal walks, and Cork City is easy to reach for shopping, music, food and culture.

Help
I’m looking for help with home organisation and decluttering while some work is being done on the house. The main project is sorting, reorganising and creating good storage systems, including moving items from an old garage into a new shed. I’d love someone creative, organised and practical who enjoys making spaces feel tidy, calm and functional. Some light household help and flexibility day to day would also be appreciated.

What else ...
In your free time there’s lots to explore locally — beaches, coastal walks, sea swimming spots, cafés and Cork City itself, which is easy to reach by bus as there’s a stop right outside the house. Carrigaline is a friendly, safe town with good shops and great access to nearby places like Crosshaven, Fountainstown and Kinsale.
We live a relaxed but respectful family lifestyle. I’d appreciate someone who is tidy, easygoing, communicative and comfortable around children. We enjoy a calm, positive home environment, so cleanliness and mutual respect are important. Flexibility is always appreciated and in return I want people to feel comfortable, included and at home here.
