Description
Hello! Bonjour! Hallo! We are Kate and Florian and baby Evander. We live on 10 hectares in beautiful Sandford, just a 30 minute drive from the city centre of Hobart. We run a farm where we produce seeds for the company we own: Seed Freaks, Florian teaches agriculture at Tas Tafe and Kate is looking after Evander and running the business during the day.
Florian is half French and half German and was raised in France and Germany. Kate is originally from Sydney and met Florian when she was working in Germany as an opera singer.
We speak English and German at home as well as French (Kate's french isn't fluent but she is trying to learn). We have a 10 month old baby named Evander.
We are hoping to host someone who can help to keep our very sweet son entertained while we work from home. We are also more than happy to host someone interested in farm life and learning about how a seed farm operates! We live on a property with gorgeous views of the nearby beaches, we are directly next to some stunning walking trails. Florian and Kate have travelled extensively and would love for Evander to have as much exposure to other cultures as possible. We love to cook and to share food (and wine) and conversation. We have and absolutely beautiful and very friendly dog named Crumpet and a very funny cat named Crepe Suzette.Types of help and learning opportunities

We live on a very beautiful property and we absolutely love getting to know people and having warm conversations around a table and sharing a good meal. Florian and Kate have a great deal of international experience and a unique perspective about Tasmania as two people who have moved there themselves. For anyone who is interested, Florian can teach them about regenerative agriculture and our seed production business.
We are surrounded by some absolutely stunning nature and Kate is a keen hiker!Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for someone who can help take care of our 10 month old during the day. Kate is home all day running the farm and business while Right Florian teaches at tafe from 7am -4pm. We have no family in Tasmania so we are finding that some help to look after Evander and/or work on the farm would be incredibly beneficial. We would love someone who likes children and is happy to play and interact and speak to the baby. We speak in French English and German to Evander so there are lots of languages to choose from!
My husband and I will see to all the farm and business matters ourselves.Languages

We are very close to Hobart, there is a bus which goes from the property but it doesn't run very frequently. If we are not using the cars you are welcome to borrow the car to explore. The work was mainly helping with the household and baby entertainment. We took the cute house dog Crumpet to our hearts from day one.
The surrounding area is perfect for long walks and the food was delicious.
Many thanks for the great time with you!

Kate and Florian were very generous and treated us to delicious food every night. Both of them are good at cooking, and even though they are busy raising their children. I had no experience raising children, and it was my first time seeing other people's… read more
