    Description

We live in a traditional Catalan masia surrounded by nature, right in the heart of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà – a beautiful, peaceful area ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a simple, quiet life close to the land.

We’re looking for one person or couple (only caravan option), who would like to spend some time with us, helping with a few small but meaningful tasks that support daily life in and around the masia.

We offer a basic but sufficient indoor sleeping space, access to a bathroom with hot shower, and a shared outdoor area with a sink, electric stove, fridge, and a charming inner courtyard with a barbecue – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a quiet, independent stay in a natural environment, enjoy being around animals, and don’t mind lending a hand in a rustic setting, we’d be happy to welcome you!

Our place offers an ideal opportunity to experience rural Catalonia in an authentic and peaceful way. You’ll be staying in a traditional masia located in the heart of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà natural park — a quiet, nature-filled environment perfect for those who value independence, simplicity, and time for themselves.

While we live quite privately and don’t engage much in shared social time (we already have a busy life and social circle), we’re happy to offer guidance and local knowledge to help you discover the area on your own. From tips on where to find the best local markets or hidden beaches, to pointing you toward traditional festivities like correfocs, village fairs, or cultural events, we’ll make sure you’re well-equipped to explore Catalonia with a more local and informed perspective.

This is a great setting for nature lovers, curious travellers, and those looking to immerse themselves quietly in the rhythm of Catalan rural life — without needing constant interaction or structured cultural activities. Here, you'll have the space to connect with the land, the seasons, and the unique cultural richness of the Empordà region at your own pace.

We offer two options for your stay, depending on what suits you best:

    1. Motorhome/caravan option (Two host. Our preferred and most comfortable one):
You can park your own camper van or caravan on a spacious, shaded plot with trees. This area includes an electricity hook-up, treated well water, a WC, and a shower. It offers privacy, independence, and a peaceful natural setting, while still being close to everything you need.

    2. Sleeping space in the masia (One host)
If you don’t have your own vehicle, we also offer a simple single indoor sleeping space in the masia. You have access to the WC, shower, and a shared outdoor area with a sink, electric stove, fridge, and a cozy inner courtyard with a barbecue.

Please note: We do not provide a motorhome or caravan — if you choose the first option, you must bring your own.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time, you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning natural beauty of the region. We’re located right on the Costa Brava, famous for its breathtaking beaches, hidden coves, and dramatic coastal views. Whether you enjoy swimming, hiking, or simply relaxing, there’s something for everyone.

You can visit picturesque coastal villages like Cadaqués, known for its charming streets, whitewashed buildings, and local artisan shops. While you're there, make sure to try some traditional Catalan cuisine and enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere.

For those who enjoy hiking or cycling, there are numerous trails through the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, which is a haven for birdwatching and offers incredible biodiversity. You’ll be able to connect with nature while discovering the wild landscapes of the region.

    Local events and festivals:
Catalonia has a rich cultural calendar, and we can help you experience some of its most vibrant traditions. One of the highlights is the exciting correfocs (fire runs), a spectacular and thrilling celebration where fire and music take center stage. I’m actually part of a local correfocs group, the Senyors del Foc, so if you’re around during one of these events, I can give you an insider’s perspective on this tradition!

There are also many local village fairs and other traditional festivals throughout the year, offering a unique way to experience Catalan culture and join in the celebrations.

    Transport and access:
There is a bus service that connects our area to nearby towns, which is convenient for getting around. However, having a car or motorcycle will allow you to explore the surroundings more freely and reach some of the more remote spots, beaches, and towns at your own pace.
