Description
We are a family of three - me, my father and my 5 year old son - who each live here in this wonderful eighteenth century chateau in lower Normandy. We have 5 pet dogs and a cat. I have worked on taming the park and redecorating much of the interior in the last 2 years (it has been a second home for our family for the past 20 years) and we have had major forestry work in the woods. We now urgently need help with the park and gardens - taming ivy and brambles, cutting and tidying trees etc etc etc. Not to mention some glazing work if that appeals to anyone! The chateau is located just 5 mins outside Alencon which has superb amenities, plus we are a short drive from the Perche region, the Alpes Mancelles region, the invasion routes, many chateaux, the Haras du Pins etc etc etc. The park here is really interesting with lots pf history waiting to be uncovered. The original settlement likely goes back to Roman occupation. The interior of the chateau is lovely - though the plumbing and electrics are old.

We speak English day to day so we can help with that. Its a wonderful experience living in the chateau and there is heaps on locally to explore.

As above we ideally would love hands on help with gardening and outdoor projects, plus any additional diy such as glazing etc etc. Perhaps also being involved with some dog walking in the grounds!

Accommodation
Large bedrooms within the main chateau are available, with wonderful views. Bathrooms aren't state of the art but equally are perfectly fine and functional. You will be able to join us for meals - we usually eat in the dining room or outdoors if it is warmer.

We are in the Orne area of Normandy - near Alencon - do look up for further information - its beautiful with lots of forests, horses etc etc.
