    Description

Working at the intersection of art, design , culture and storytelling. It is one of the main verticles, an artist residency space and cultural centre, where the workaway people would be staying. We plan to do a lot of workshops, events around music dance poetry and theatre, which is where i will be needing help in curating, conceptualising, marketing, scheduling and even doing it.

I would also need someone to manage the space and beautify it, as though we already have caretakers, yet we need a lot of people to manage the dynamicity of the space. We are building the space as a sustainable space so a push towards that too.

We have paid local caretakers Ankit and Rajni who live on the property, along with their 3 little kids. Both of them, even though aren't educated, yet are very hard workers, takes care of cleaning cooking, upkeep of the property, send their children to school, and are problem solvers. Our paid Gardner, Dinesh also comes to see the property is in place landscaping wise. There are more collaborators that come and go depending on the events scheduled.

    1. Managing the space and beautifying it : Kala kutir is a space in nature. It needs to be constantly pruned and beautifed. So I need someone to take charge of that. Some days you can be telling the gardner what to do, some days physically make it more beautiful, some days conceptualising and showing me ways.
    2. Conceptualise community events and execute them from scratch : it is an event space, and I want a event to happen every weekend. I need someone to take charge of that. I already have connects with artists of the country, so we can conceptualise and grow things.
    3. Media and social media : I want someone to capture the space beautifully, edit and even post them on social media. I want someone to hype up the space.
    4. Creative innovator : If you aree someone who can propose a workshop/ performance etc that can add to our place

There are more things that keep on happening throughout the year, so when you drop a request I can share more about the vacancy work available.

You wont be replacing the staff we already have, but work with them to create art events, market them and execute them. Or help as a designer enhancing ther experience of the space.

    Accommodation

You will be staying in 3 person Workawayer hostel style room with common toilets, desert coolers in the summers and thick woolen sheets in the winters. The property is on the route of migratory patterns of birds here in India, so you will get to see a lot of birds.

Rajni didi cooks for volunteers who come and stay with us, although sometimes when the number exceeds 6 she needs rotatory support to cook the food. It will be 3 pure vegetarian meals, rice lentils vegetables of indian preparation - simple indian vegetarian food. People will have to wash their own plates or utensils they use.

There is so much to do in Agra apart from Taj mahal. There are some 80+ listed monuments in the city, There are some beautiful nature trails some of which start 2-3 kms from our centre. The food is just amazing and i can suggest a lot of eateries in the city. I also do some heritage walks, you can attend those and gain mor deep stories of the city. Metro is available, but is about 2 kms from our center. There are a lot of Tuktuks available around 1.2 kms from the centre.
