A man with tousled dark hair and stubble smiles slightly. He’s wearing a dark shirt with sunglasses around his neck, standing outdoors by water on a sunny day.
A sunlit forest path winds through tall trees, casting dappled shadows on the ground. Dense green foliage lines the trail, evoking peace and adventure.
A hand is held next to several vibrant, glossy purple mushrooms growing on a forest floor, surrounded by green plants, leaves, and moist, natural woodland debris.
A woman smiles while constructing a wooden structure in a lush forest. Sunlight filters through tall trees. She is wearing work clothes and holding onto a post.
A man with long blonde hair stands in a dense, green forest. He smiles near chopped logs and a saw, surrounded by lush ferns and mossy trees.

    Description

Welcome, travelers. My name is Gabriel, and I'm a documentary photographer based in the natural landscapes of southern Chile. I've traveled to many countries, experiencing different cultures and learning a great deal about life in India, North Africa, Europe, and the diverse landscapes of Latin America.

I'm building my home within a forest in northern Patagonia. The 20-hectare property boasts abundant native flora and fauna. I've begun constructing trails and platforms for nature observation, especially of the fungal world. Today, it's a park project for meditation and contemplation. The property features two rivers, forested mountains, and is close to several national parks, volcanoes, and trekking routes, including the famous Cochamo climbing routes (northern Patagonia). It's a paradise for adventure sports in nature. Puerto Varas is the nearest city (1 hour away). I live with my furry companion, Antü, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and I'm visited by many artist friends and nature lovers, as well as young university students who enjoy working outdoors. The community consists of local people: cowboys, women who weave, and those who practice permaculture.
We practice meditation, photography, and dance, and we also have a garden and a greenhouse. We exchange seeds and produce with other neighbors in the community.

Bienvenidos viajeros.

Language exchange with hosts and local residents. We belong to the Cayutue Lagoon tourism and herding group, where activities and traditional festivals are regularly organized. We have knowledge of alchemy and essential oils, professional photography, permaculture, remote construction, and Chilean history. We also hope to learn from new ideas that travelers may bring with them to apply to the park project, and the interdisciplinary work of the groups is very important.

The assistance is primarily focused on the construction of trails, signs, and small wooden structures within the park. Help with the greenhouse, vegetable gardens, and the collection of native leaves and plants for essential oil extraction is also appreciated. All of this work is done in collaboration with the host to enhance knowledge sharing.

I have a beautiful floating tent camp on the riverbank, surrounded by nature. They are four-season Tentsile Safari tents equipped with sleeping bags and sleeping mats.
Meals are prepared by us (the hosts), and if any traveler is interested in cooking, we are open to trying typical dishes from other countries. Generally, in summer we only prepare breakfast and dinner. During the day, fruit snacks are available.

In your free time, you can go trekking for one or more days in the national parks. Kayaking or rafting on the Petrohué River or nearby lakes, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, and climbing are also options. Our region has been the adventure tourism capital of the world for many years. Public transportation is available, and we also assist travelers with shuttle services. Here, we live a simple life far from the noise of the city. We enjoy the sounds of the forest, cook over an open fire, and there are no screens or televisions, but plenty of books. We share barbecues and campfires under the stars.
