    ENGLISH

Hi, I'm Francesco. Together with Daniela, my girlfriend, we chose to take over and manage what has been my father's farm and before him, my grandfather's, my great-grandfather's, and even my great-great-grandfather's. Four generations rooted in this land.

Ours is a family-run organic farm in Puglia, in Santeramo in Colle, in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park. Our philosophy is to be stewards of the land rather than just farmers: without pretension, we cultivate with a respectful and regenerative approach, with extensive grazing and crops of olive trees, almonds, cereals and vegetables. We are constantly seeking harmony with the ecosystem around us, and we try to produce as much as we can ourselves, from food to the products we use at home. As a growing farm, we are building a surplus so that other families can access our products, supporting local and more conscious agriculture.

We share our outdoor spaces with dogs, cats, hens, cows and ducks.

Farm activities follow the rhythm of the seasons: pruning, planting, harvesting, care of the vegetable garden, the trees and the livestock. Work is done in the morning, around 4-5 hours, leaving the afternoon free.

I, beyond the farm, am building a project that connects agriculture with experiential tourism. I am the author of a travel guide to Puglia and I am developing a YouTube channel to document farm life and authentic Puglia.

Daniela, in addition to helping me on the farm and taking care in particular of the vegetable garden and the animals, works in theatre and circus and organises retreats and summer camps for adults and children: a journey of rediscovering the body and one's roots.

Mimmo, my father, was born and raised in this masseria. A former milk producer, he now dedicates himself to managing the animals and passing on the wisdom of someone who has lived this land his whole life.

Volunteers stay in a private room with a dedicated bathroom. The atmosphere is family-style and informal: meals are prepared together using farm produce and local ingredients. We are passionate about fitness and physical wellbeing, and there is a gym on the farm, available to everyone.

We love order and cleanliness. Animals are not allowed inside the house: we believe they should live in their natural habitat, as free as possible.

We welcome all kinds of people: farming enthusiasts, curious travellers, digital nomads, circus artists, creatives, anyone who loves nature and tranquility. What we value most is genuine collaboration: working together, sharing ideas, building something real, together. Learning by doing, and experiencing rural Puglia in an authentic way.

L'atmosfera è familiare e informale: i pasti vengono preparati insieme usando i prodotti dell'azienda e ingredienti locali.

Living on the farm means becoming part of a real Apulian family for a while. We share meals together, and I'll introduce you to the local food culture: homemade pasta, fresh olive oil straight from our trees, local wines, and the simple but rich traditions of southern Italy.

I can teach you how to read the land, recognize the different stages of an olive tree through the seasons, and understand what biological farming really means in practice. Not from a book, but by doing it with your hands.

We are based in Santeramo in Colle, a small town in the Alta Murgia, close to some of the most beautiful and unknown corners of Puglia. I'll be happy to show you around, introduce you to local people, and share the kind of Puglia that most tourists never get to see.

In return, I'm genuinely curious about the world. I love hearing stories from people who come from different places and different ways of life. Every person who comes here leaves something behind, and that's what makes this experience worth doing.

    Help

We need hands-on help with the daily life of a real Apulian farm. Depending on the season, tasks may include pruning trees, cleaning under the olive trees, general farm maintenance, caring for the land, and helping with organic vegetable production for family use.

You don't need to be an expert. What matters is that you show up with a good attitude, willingness to learn, and respect for the land and the people around you. We work together, eat together, and share the experience as a team.

In return, you'll learn traditional Apulian farming methods, discover how extra virgin olive oil is really made, and live an authentic southern Italian lifestyle that most travelers never get to see.

Workawayers stay in a private room inside the farmhouse, with a comfortable bed and everything they need to rest well after a day in the fields.

Meals are included. We eat together as a family, and the food is what you would expect from a biological farm in Puglia: fresh, seasonal, and made with our own products. Bread, pasta, olive oil, vegetables from the garden. Simple and real.

You also have full access to the kitchen, so you can cook for yourself whenever you like or experiment with local ingredients.

The farm is in the countryside, surrounded by olive and almond trees. It is quiet, clean, and safe. A good place to slow down and reconnect with something genuine.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

On your days off, you are free to explore the area. Santeramo in Colle is well located: Matera is about 30 minutes away and is one of the most unique cities in the world. Alberobello with its famous trulli, Bari, Ostuni, and the Adriatic coast are all within an hour's drive.

Having a car or a motorbike is a big advantage here, as the countryside is not well connected by public transport. If you don't have one, we can talk about options together.

A few things to know about living here: I value respect, honesty, and a good attitude more than any specific skill. The farm runs on natural rhythms, so flexibility and a calm mindset go a long way. We work hard but we also know how to rest and enjoy life.

There is a gym on the farm, available for your use. Early mornings are the best time to work, and afternoons in summer tend to be slower and quieter.

This is a place where you can breathe, think clearly, and feel what it means to live close to the land. Come with an open mind and you'll leave with a full heart.
