Description
We are a family living on a small organic farm close to Montalcino ( Unesco heritage site, famous for wines). The place is very beautiful and in a breathtaking position. We are a couple in our 50-ties with two daughters aged 20 and 14 . Alexandra is a social anthropologist and a sommelier, Michelangelo is in the real estate business, and he is an excellent cook. We live in an old Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by a vast garden park with a natural swimming pool.
In this moment, we would like to welcome people able to help around the house, garden and occasionally with computer skills for our personal needs. The tasks are varied and depends on your skills and abilities. Ideally, we look for people who are able to do different things according to the season and the needs of the moment, and who are curious to experience life on a Tuscan farm. We can host you for two weeks to 2 months. English is a must, and some Italian would be a plus.

Accommodation
We offer accomodation in a cosy wooden hut with bathroom and heating, we share food in the main house.
What else ...
We both like cooking and we hope you will be happy with our food ( please check feedbacks from our previous workawayers:)) If you are interested we can help you improve your Italian, we can share the traditional cooking and some bases of wine tasting (Alexandra is a professional sommelier and she organizes wine tasting events). We look for energetic and kind people who enjoy a company but are able to stay and work on their own as well. We expect our volunteers to participate in domestic chores like any other member of our family ( eg. settle a table, clean the kitchen, etc) . We also expect you to keep your place clean and tidy, especially before you leave.
In your free time, you can enjoy a really breathtaking nature around or walk to Montalcino for a sip of good wine, it is 20 min walk through the vine and olive groves. We also have a natural pool and some fitness facilities that you can use every day. Interesting cities are a short distance away.
