Description
We are a couple living off-grid with a baby, raising chickens and workig on a plant nursery.
Using inspirations from Korean natural farming, Permaculture, No-till gardening, Regenerative agriculture and a touch of Lazy gardenning and much more, Kristos works with nature.
We love plants, insects, birds, hikes and making fires to heat our house. Katrina loves cooking and has a teenage boy who lives with us part time and enjoys playing the piano and helping out with his little brother.
We live on an off- grid Island and have the amazing opportunity and privilege to be creative with what we have around... now what will art do?

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Katrina likes to cook, make sourdough and sauerkraut and other ferments. Kristos works with all sorts of exotic plants in a nursery. Both of us speak English and French. We like dancing and I go to an intentional dance sometimes. I also play marimba in the summertime. We would enjoy learning about new foods, and would be pleased to share Permaculture and other gardening and self-sufficient skills.

Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
There are two main ways we have asked for help: one is to help with nannying, house cleaning, food prep
and two: on building and moving wood or helping in the garden.
**There are also small projects that can be tackled by some inspired individuals.**
One of them is hooking up a solar hot water heater to our house system. For this we would need someone skilled with copper plumbing.
Languages
Languages spoken
English: Fluent
French: IntermediateThis host offers a language exchange
We would be happy to teach English or French, Kristos is fluent as he grew up in Quebec.
Accommodation
We have a tiny home with a woodstove to accomodate a couple or familly all year round, a camper with small woodstove for spring trough fall and we have a couple of tents for people who prefer being outside.
We share our meals at the main house and are happy to send you out with a lunch for an adventure on our electric bike.
What else ...
We have a kayak and an e-bike, often people who come here hitch-hike to get around as it is a safe close-knit community. Guests are generally welcome in the house 9am till 7pm.
