  Hello!
  
  My name is Kala and I live in Paternilla, a small rural area close to Vejer de la Frontera, Caños de Meca and Barbate, and just a short drive from El Palmar and Conil. This is a magical part of Andalusia, surrounded by pine forests and some of the most stunning beaches in southern Spain.
  
  A few years ago, I moved into my house on a 1600 m² plot, where I live with my dog Tierra and my cat Ona. I am passionate about ecology, yoga, Ayurveda, healthy living, personal growth, education and arts & crafts. I enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people, but I also value moments of silence and solitude — always trying to find balance between both.
  
  I currently work as a teacher in a vocational training school in Vejer, and I am also studying for exams. This means I don’t always have enough time to take care of my home and land, so I would love to welcome helping hands and share good company at the same time.

  - Practice Spanish in daily life (I worked for several years as a Spanish teacher and enjoy language exchange).
  - Learn about local Andalusian culture, traditions and food.

  - Discover endless opportunities for surfing, hiking, camping and exploring the famous “pueblos blancos” nearby.
  
  I also love learning from guests — whether it’s cooking new recipes, practicing languages, or sharing creative skills.

  Help

  Life in the countryside means there are always little things to do. The help I ask for is simple, practical and creative tasks, such as:
  - Watering, planting and light gardening
  - Helping to keep outdoor and indoor spaces tidy
  - Cooking and sharing meals
  - Taking care of the animals when I’m away
  - General daily upkeep of the house and garden
  
  I am open to your ideas and creativity — if you enjoy DIY or crafts, you are welcome to bring your own small projects!
  
  I really appreciate independent and self-motivated people who are responsible and attentive to details. You should be comfortable working alone at times, as well as sharing tasks together. Above all, I value respect, curiosity and kindness in the way we share the space.

  Accommodation

  In the property, at the moment is only the house where I live in, where you will have your own private room.
  
  If you travel in your own campervan we can arrange a place in the shadow of the trees for it, with access to solar electricity, water, kitchen and bathroom.
  
  We share the common spaces and meals when possible.
  
  Please note: the property is located about 5 km from Vejer. There is no public transport nearby, so it’s best if you have your own car or van.

  The plot is located 5 kilometers from Vejer de la Frontera. There is no public transport. So better if you have your own car.
  I live with my dog and cat, who love meeting new friends.
  Smoking is fine outside.
  I can host up to two volunteers.
