Hola! I’m Julian, your host in Cali :)

We’re looking for open-minded, positive people with great energy—travelers who bring good vibes, joy, and a sense of community, and who want to be part of building a hostel experience together.

Our hostel is located in one of the best areas of Cali, meaning you’ll save not only on accommodation, but also on transportation—most tourist spots are just a 5–10 minute walk away.

    About the project

After years of dreaming about opening my own hostel, it’s finally becoming a reality—alongside a specialty coffee shop.

I’ve traveled the world volunteering and staying in hostels, so I understand both sides of the experience. Cali is a city that surprises people—the salsa, the food, and especially the energy make it hard to leave.

I came here planning to stay two nights… ended up staying three weeks, kept coming back, and eventually decided to build my dream hostel here.

    Current situation (May–June)

We currently have 4 local construction staff working on the project
By the end of June, there will be 6 paid positions, mostly filled by locals

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Social life is an important part of our hostel. Volunteers are welcome to join our team and guests for city explorations, game nights, and nights out experiencing local music, bars, and clubs. We also enjoy spontaneous plans and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

We can share insights about local culture, Colombian food, music, nightlife, and what it’s like to run a startup hostel. If you have skills or ideas of your own, we love exchanging knowledge and learning from each other.

Hosting people from different cultures allows us to grow, learn, and see our own city through new eyes. We hope to build genuine connections, exchange stories, and create memories together.

    Help

During your shifts, you will help with reception and other daily tasks around the hostel. In activity shifts that are almost 40% of your shifts, you’ll also be encouraged to connect with guests by leading activities and spending time together — exploring the city, playing board games, or going out to local bars and clubs.

We see this as a shared experience, where volunteers and guests learn from each other and create a social, welcoming atmosphere.
