Description
~ Currently available to host 2 Workawayers for the winter stay~
Communal living and location:
We offer a unique working experience with a host family, welcoming digital nomads, families and individuals interested in slow living. Our horse ranch is a place for like-minded people to meet, collaborate, host events and enjoy outdoor time on equine trails. Shared living spaces include the community kitchen and dining area, which serve as the heart of our co-living experience, where we all meet to exchange music, language, culture and enjoy meals.
The land is situated on the outskirts of the small historical town of Dusheti (925 meters above sea level,), just a 40-minute drive from Tbilisi and a 10-minute drive from Bazaleti Lake. Supermarkets, banks, and cafés are reachable within walking distance.
Giorgi, Maka, and I will be your hosts, here to greet you and support you during your stay.
Who we are and what we do:
Horse Ranch and co-living spaces have been established with a deep love and passion for horse riding by Giorgi, Maka and their mountaineering friends from Ion. Giorgi and Maka nurture this land with their two young boys, long-term residents and short-term guests who live in cottages we rent daily. Giorgi has put great effort into constructing the living spaces primarily using natural materials (many elements, including structures and furnishings, have been handcrafted using recycled materials). His craftsmanship is showcased in the rustic cottages and structures he has built around the ranch. Since working alone takes a lot of energy and time, he welcomes Workawayers to lend a hand with his projects, while sharing his skills and experiences with them. We encourage our volunteers to contribute by doing what they do best, while also giving them the opportunity to work on their personal projects.
Along with our passion for craftsmanship, we’re also inspired by permaculture and try to bring its principles into our daily life.
As one of our future incentives, we’d like to explore ways to involve the people of Dusheti in what we do and share our activities with them. Our outreach process may involve community needs research (understanding what locals want, especially around social life and inclusivity), skill and story exchanges, partnerships with schools or youth groups, and co-creating projects with them. Volunteers with an interest in being involved in this kind of research and project-planning activities are welcome to write to us.
We would like to note that it is more convenient for us to host two or more Workawayers at the same time, whether that be couples, friends, or individuals traveling together. So requests from groups like this are more likely to be accepted.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
Your help would be greatly appreciated in making this place better!

Accommodation
We offer our Workawayers a private cottage constructed by Georgi, using recycled materials like old window frames. It is located in the forested surroundings of our ranch and provides two separate beds, along with a bathroom, bathtub and toilet.
Currently, we don't provide three meals a day for volunteers, so they are free to cook for themselves in our kitchen. We only ask Workawayers for 3 hour help, 5 days a week.
What else ...
During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to ride horses, integrate with the local community and enjoy beautiful walks in the nearby forest.
