    Description

    About our Ranch and location:
We’re opening doors for Volunteers offering a unique working experience with our crew and host family. We welcome digital nomads, families, Individuals interested in slow living. Our Ranch is a place for like-minded people to meet, host their events, and enjoy outdoor time together on Equine Trails. Horse ranch is situated in the small historical town of Dusheti, a 40-minute drive from Tbilisi, offering beautiful views of both the city and the mountains.

    Who are we:

Our Horse Ranch has been established with a deep love and passion for horse riding by Giorgi, Maka and their mountaineering friends from Ion. Giorgi, along with his wife Maka, a talented painter known for her kindness and love, nurtures this land with their two young boys. Giorgi has taken great care to construct the ranch primarily using natural materials (many elements, including structures and furnishings, have been handcrafted using recycled materials). His craftsmanship is showcased in the rustic cottages and structures he has built around the ranch. Since working alone takes a lot of energy and time, he welcomes Workawayers to lend a hand with his projects , while sharing his skills and experiences with them. We encourage our volunteers to contribute by doing what they do best, while also giving them the opportunity to work on their personal projects. A newly transformed community kitchen and dinner, has become a hub for all of us to meet, exchange language, culture, music and enjoy meals together. Giorgi, Maka, and I will be your hosts, and we will be here to greet you and help during your stay.

Along with our passion for craftsmanship, we’re also inspired by permaculture and try to bring its principles into our daily life.

In the upcoming season, we’d like to explore ways to involve the people of Dusheti more in what we do and share our activities with them. Our outreach process may involve community needs research (understanding what locals want, especially around social life and inclusivity), skill and story exchanges, partnerships with schools or youth groups, and co-creating projects with them. Volunteers with an interest in being involved in this kind of research and project planning activities are welcome to join us.

We would like to note that it is more convenient for us to host two or more Workawayers at the same time, whether that be couples, friends, or individuals traveling together. So requests from groups like this are more likely to be accepted.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
Your help would be greatly appreciated in making this place better!

    Accommodation

We offer our Workawayers a private cottage constructed by Georgi, using recycled materials like old window frames. It is located in the forested surroundings of our ranch and provides two separate beds, along with a bathroom, bathtub and toilet.

Currently, we don't have anyone to provide three meals a day for volunteers, so they are free to cook for themselves in our kitchen. The city center is very nearby, and the nearest supermarket is easily accessible, just 10 minutes away by foot. We only ask Workawayers for 3 hour help, 5 days a week.
