  • Description

Hello, my name is Estephanie. I am Mexican girl from Tepic, Nayarit, a land of Cora and Huichol ethnic groups, and I am in charge for the first time of the permaculture project of my partner Alejandro, who has been away for a few months.

Our project in which we work to develop a more sustainable and harmonious life with nature through practices and systems inspired by it.

Currently I find myself and my two beautiful dogs living on the ranch, I like to practice yoga, meditation, work in the garden, as well as cooking, I usually participate every Sunday in a local market that some members of the community organize and promote local consumption of the producers of the region.

Our project is located on the outskirts of a small picturesque town of no more than 7,000 inhabitants.
We are in the rainy season so now access to the ranch becomes more challenging and adventurous. We are 25 min walk from the town through stables and paddocks.

The ranch has all the facilities of a rustic and comfortable life, we have some fruit trees, a family garden, a chicken coop, a small greenhouse, a mandala garden and other technologies sponsored by nature.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You can learn the basic principles of permaculture as a design tool, you can have all the experience of living in nature, I can teach you how to compost, how to germinate and transplant plants. I can be your tourist guide around the region or recommend good places depending on what your interest is, I can teach you good typical Mexican dishes, make a bonfire, enjoy and cook.

You can also have all that exchange that traditional Mexican culture can offer you.

We offer people to stay camping under a chill palapa terrace, equipped with a single mattress, nice and cosy, working table and hammock.
Also can offer a sofa mattress down in the Kitchen living room were volunteers can choose where to stay.

Meals are shared as well as cooking, you can get enough things in town. The prices here are accessible, we gather ingredients and share time cooking.

For now I do not have a vehicle to transport me, I use my bicycle to go to and from town, the closest city is 1 hour away and is called Puerto Vallarta, a totally tourist place, you can take the bus from town to Puerto Vallarta for 2 Dollars .

The common shared areas are the kitchen , bathroom and terrace , however the land is big as 2.5 hectareas
