(Koh) Lanta is the beautiful island where we are located. We have set up this project to offer alternative education for people of all nationalities and ages, promoting a creative, innovative, loving and caring mindset. Education is the key in setting forth the positive changes toward sustainability and regenerating lifestyles that the world and humanity desperately need. Here we do so in the form of eco tourism.

We offer visits, stays and learning opportunities for Thais and internationals and are now working hard to get people to know about us. You will have the chance to meet and exchange with local people and tourists from all over the world!
We are looking for one or two traveling volunteers, over 23 years old, that can help us run events in our education park. This entails any fun educational and outdoor activity for children, local, tourist and expat. We aim to organise an event every Sunday. Every week we need to come up with an activity, get photo's and text for announcements on FB, prepare material and set up for the activities. Guide the children during the event and report online afterwards, thanking all participants.
This could also include hosting at our Organic Teahouse, inform guests, ready rooms, cook food or help with chores.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Speak English well and politely.
• Over 23 years of age.
• Experience with children.
• A passion for sustainability and interest in natural building, bamboo, back to basic life style and education.
• Enjoy living in nature.
• Skills in filming, editing, social media, marketing or photography are a big pro.

In your free time; luckily you’re on the most gorgeous of islands so there’s always something to see and do. There’s a plethora of ways to explore or relax on the island.
A drive over the central mountains of the island, through lush rainforest will put you in ‘Old Town’ where the locals and tourist mingle – a perfect spot to catch the sunrise. North is the busy little port of ‘Saladan’ where the majority of the ferries arrive. A narrow street packed with quaint restaurants sitting on stilts over the water awaits you. To the south is Koh Lanta’s national park where you’ll find more pristine beaches, thick rain-forest and groups of cheeky monkeys; so be careful where you leave you bags!
Day trips on a traditional long-tail boat are a wonderful way to explore surrounding islands with their deserted beaches and underwater caves. If you’re feeling more energetic explore Koh Lanta’s beautiful mangrove forests by kayak; keep an eye out for the swimming monkeys.
A 1.5 hour ferry from Saladan will place you in Koh Phi Phi – possibly the most beautiful group of islands on the planet; scores of tourist (unfortunately) flock here to swim, dive, hike and sunbath. As darkness creeps in the island comes alive. A thin strip of land connects two island-mountains and is packed with restaurants, bars and hostels. The strip is fringed on both sides with white, sandy beaches where night clubs and fire shows go on until the early morning.
And how can you come to this part of the world and not take up snorkeling or scuba diving? The tropical, crystal clear waters and its corals, are teeming with the most colourful, wonderful and unique marine life which is why these waters are considered one of the world’s top 10 dive sites.
If that all sounds too much for you just head to the beach; Koh Lanta is jam-packed with tropical beaches of soft white sands, washed with the bluest of waters and fringed with palm trees. Dotted along the beaches you’ll find ramshackle bars and restaurants with driftwood walls and sandy floors. Chill under their thatched roofs with a fresh coconut and some yummy papaya salad.
