    Description

    HELLO!
    I’m Elena!
For many years, my life was a whirlwind of travel and work, mainly as a photographer in the fashion industry. I lived through so many different experiences and saw so many worlds, but after all that moving, I felt a deep, simple need to finally put down roots and live a life closer to nature. I felt the visceral call of my island. I chose to return to Sicily because I am in love with its raw beauty—the light, the endless sky, and the slow, vibrant rhythm of life here, the vibes.

This began as my personal dream: a vision of returning to the roots, tending to the earth, and creating a space for authentic hospitality . I’m passionate about our territory, its ancient flavors, and the incredible products made by our local farmers. For me, life is about capturing beauty—not just with a camera but by living it through simple, 'super' good things: food, wine, and the magic that surrounds us every day.

Hi, I’m Avishai! My journey began as a juggling street artist traveling through Europe, but six years ago, Sicily captured my heart. I met Elena on this beautiful mountain, and our dreams merged into one.

My soul belongs to flow arts, music, and the quiet observation of nature. But I also brought a specific dream of my own to this land: creating a Tahina made in Sicily. This led me to start cultivating our own sesame, a labor of love that connects my roots to this soil. I find deep joy in growing life in the garden and transforming it into food. i love it! I believe every person who crosses our path does so for a reason, sharing the joy of life, food, and art together.

    OUR VISION: 🚜🎨🍷
Our project is more than a farm; it’s a lifestyle, a cultural crossroads, a place for travelers, and a dream in constant evolution.
We founded our non-profit cultural association right here.

our project is deeply connected to CREATIVITY, SOUL & HeART!
    What we do:
    - Artistic Workshops & Retreats: From photography to flow arts.
    - Cultural Events: Live music, celebrating popular traditions, community dinners, and sunset aperitivi.
    - Hospitality: We offer a cozy stay in our styled glamping tents, which we set up with a lot of care and love for details.
We also have peaceful pitches for those who come with their own tents. Both are completely surrounded by nature, perfect for waking up in the peace of the countryside.
    - The Magic of Sesame: we growing and harvesting sesame for our artisanal Tahina, biscuits, ice cream...

    JOIN OUR ADVENTURE! 🌟
We’ll be back soon and we’ll start the summer season at the end of April.
We can't wait to meet people who will arrive with the joy to help us and give a hand.

We need your help, there is a lot to do and a lot to learn, but also a lot to share with good vibes. For us, it's not just a work it's more: it's life, energy, emotions, and experiences to share.

We want to have a great season and work with Fun!
❤️ We believe in a supportive and vibrant community.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

"By joining us, you will dive into an authentic country lifestyle and gain hands-on experience in sustainable living. We believe this exchange is a balance between learning practical skills and rediscovering yourself in nature.

What you can learn with us:

    - Sustainable Farming & Garden: How to tend to a vegetable garden from soil to harvest, taking care of our chickens, and understanding the rhythm of the seasons.
    - The Art of Hospitality: You will learn how to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This includes the care and 'beauty' behind keeping our spaces clean, organized, and harmonious. For us, making a place beautiful is a way of life.
    - The Joy of the Kitchen: We love transforming our garden products into food. You’ll learn about traditional recipes, food transformation (like our sesame projects), and the importance of quality, local ingredients.
    - Conviviality & Social Skills: You’ll have the chance to socialize in a vibrant international atmosphere. We believe in the power of sharing—whether it's a community dinner or a sunset aperitivo—learning how to connect with others through the joy of the table.
    - Inner Balance & Independence: Beyond the work, you will learn the value of 'doing things well' and with love. Taking a break from the city chaos helps you find your own peace, learn how to stay well with yourself, and grow your independence.

There is a lot of work to do, but we see it as a creative process. We want to share with you the value of beauty—the satisfaction that comes from doing things in the best way possible, with care and a pure heart."

    **OUR PHILOSOPHY**

Through our hosting journey, we’ve learned that the magic happens when we welcome **open-hearted, independent thinkers**. We are looking for people who don’t just 'help', but truly enjoy weaving their own essence into our project with enthusiasm.

It is important for us to host volunteers who are **able to stay by themselves but also enjoy the time together**; we value that balance between quiet solitude and shared connection. If you are easygoing, flexible, and eager to both learn and share knowledge, you will find a home here. We love souls who embrace a **simple life with a pure heart**.

If you feel inspired, text to us **letter of motivation** and what do you think to aspect or you need from the experience, we will keep in touch, make a call or video call for more info and if the flow is in the right way it will be a pleasure to host you!

**FROM LATE APRIL TO JUNE** 🌱🌸

    **Spring Renewal**
"As spring arrives, our project begins to bloom. This is the time when we make the place **beautiful, charming, and cozy** again. It’s a season of rebirth and creativity!
During these months, we will focus on:

    * **The Garden & Land:** Beautifying the garden, planting our organic vegetables, and **foraging for wild aromatic herbs** around the land.
    * **Food Transformation:** Getting creative in the kitchen! We’ll be **preserving, jam-making, pickling**, and experimenting with fermentation.
    * **Craft & Upcycling:** Renovating wooden tables, chairs, benches, and **signs**. We love painting and restoring wood to give it new life.
    * **Daily Rhythms:** General maintenance, feeding our beloved **dogs, cats and chickens**, and caring for the plants.
    * **Glamping Setup:** **Pitching our glamping tents** and styling the interiors with furniture and decor to create a unique atmosphere.
    * **Building with Waste:** We are currently **building a new outdoor kitchen** using recycled materials.

    **Bring your ideas!**
We are passionate about the **philosophy of reuse**. If you have a project in mind or a wish to build something new using upcycled materials, you are more than welcome to share your vision with us. Let’s create together!"

    **JUNE, JULY, AUGUST** ☀️

    **Summer Explosion: The Peak Season!**
"From late June through August, the rhythm of our project transforms into a **vibrant summer explosion**. The energy becomes more intense, the community life fuller, and the days are packed with life.

We host a variety of events, from **live music and creative workshops** to art sessions for both adults and kids, camping weekends, and **sunset aperitivi**. It’s a time of celebration and connection.

During these months, we need volunteers with a **true sense of hospitality** and a welcoming smile.
    We’re looking for people who:
    * **Love the kitchen:** Are you ready to help prepare meals or share your secret recipes?
    * **Are 'Event-Ready':** Beyond the essential daily maintenance, summer is about the **'extra touch'**—decorating spaces, setting up for workshops, and making our guests feel at home.
    * **Are Proactive & Fast Learners:** Things move quickly here! We need people who can jump in with enthusiasm and a **'can-do' attitude**.

Yes, it’s busier, but the rewards are deeper. You’ll be at the heart of a flourishing community, sharing knowledge, creating art, and experiencing the true essence of a Mediterranean summer. If you have a heart for service and a spirit for celebration, this is the perfect time to join us."

( Please note: **August** is our most energetic month. We recommend it for those who thrive in social environments and love being part of a **buzzing hive**! )

    ---

    **SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER** 🧑🏻‍🌾

    **The Gentle Transition & Harvest**
"As September arrives, the rhythm slows down once more. We begin to **gently close the season**, shifting our focus from the summer buzz to **mindful preparation for the winter**. This is a time of connection, Sunday lunches, and peaceful excursions.

    **Winding down with care:**
During these weeks, we carefully **take down the tents** and organize the space for the colder months. It’s a period of **'tidying up'** with love and attention to detail.

    **The Magic of the Harvest:**
Our kitchen stays busy with **food preservation**: we gather the last of the summer vegetables to make preserves and jams—storing the sun's energy in jars!
**Late September:** Join us for the **Sesame Harvest**. It is a truly unique and beautiful experience, a rare tradition that we love to share.
**Early October:** We officially close the season with the **Olive Harvest**. Pressing our own olives to make fresh oil is the perfect, golden finale to our journey together.

If you enjoy a more meditative pace, the smell of earth, and the satisfaction of a shared harvest, autumn with us is an unforgettable experience."

    ---

    **NOVEMBER** 🍂

    **Off season & resting time**
"After the intensity of the harvests, **November is our time to rest**. The days get shorter, the air gets cooler, and the land goes to sleep.
We take this month to **recharge our batteries** and enjoy the stillness of the off-season. We usually **do not host volunteers** during this period, as we focus on our own reflection and quiet time before the winter house-sitting season begins.

It’s a time for **slow living**, warm tea by the fire, and gratitude for the season that has passed."

    ---

    **DECEMBER to MARCH/APRIL** ❄️

    **Winter House Sitting:**
"We are looking for a **reliable individual or a couple** to embrace our home and care for our beloved pets during the quiet winter months. This is a perfect opportunity for those who truly love animals and nature, and who are seeking a peaceful, **'off-the-beaten-path' experience**.
Since this is a long-term commitment in an isolated setting, we aim to **finalize our choice by October**.

    **The Winter Experience:**
You will live in a **cozy small house**, completely surrounded by nature and warmed by a **wood-burning stove**. It is an ideal setting if you:
    * Need a **creative retreat** to write or make art.
    * Love hiking and long walks in the silence of the woods.
    * Want a **break from the city buzz** or some kind of detox.
    * Are comfortable with **solitude and being independent**.

**Logistics & Life on the Land**
"The nearest town is 20 minutes away and there is no public transport, so a **driving license is essential**.
**If you have your own car:** That is ideal and will give you the most freedom.
**Using our vehicle:** If you are a confident and responsible driver, we may consider letting you use our car for essentials and grocery shopping. This comes with a great deal of trust and responsibility, which we will discuss together.
**If you don't drive:** We might still be able to organize food supplies and essentials for the right person, but please be aware that the location is **very isolated**."

We require at least **one full week of overlap**. This time together is vital: you will learn the house’s rhythms, bond with our **dogs, cats, and chickens**, and we can ensure we are a good match for each other.

    **Responsibility & Expenses:**
While the accommodation is provided, we believe that sharing responsibility leads to a more mindful stay.

    * **Heating:** Since the house is heated by a wood-burning stove, the **cost of firewood** for personal use is to be covered by the house sitter.
    * **Utilities:** We also ask for a **contribution** (e.g., half of the electricity bill) to encourage a conscious and responsible use of resources.

**"Whether you join us for the blooming spring or the silent winter, we believe every hand that touches this land leaves a trace of beauty. We look forward to meeting you and sharing a piece of our journey together."**

What you can do in your time off:

    - Nature & Hiking: We are right next to the Cavagrande del Cassibile Natural Reserve, famous for its breathtaking canyons and freshwater lakes where you can swim. It’s a paradise for hikers.

    - Exploring the Area: We encourage you to take your free days to fully explore! It’s often best to stay out for two days and one night, visiting nearby UNESCO gems like Noto, Syracuse, or Palazzolo Acreide. This allows you to completely 'unplug' and enjoy the Sicilian culture.

    - Our Community: We always rotate our free days so there is always someone at the farm. We love to share tips on the best hidden spots to visit.

    - Rural Location: We are about 20 minutes by car from the nearest town and there is no public transport reaching us.

    - Getting Around: Many of our volunteers have fun and success with hitchhiking—it’s a common way to meet locals! Also, we often coordinate rides when we, our friends, or our guests are heading into town.

Arrival: Don’t worry about the first day—we will arrange to pick you up from the nearest bus or train station when you arrive the town more easy is Avola.
