Description
Hello everybody!!. We are Elisabeth and David and we have two great girls, Arlet and Ivet, aged 12 and 10. We don't accept shot stay (MINIMUM stay 2/3 MONTHS) 😉
Dad, engineer (currently teleworking) and Mum, teacher, works in a High School near home. We consider ourselves to be a dynamic and busy family in which you will never get bored. We would like you to take this seriously and treat it as any other job but to also treat this as a life experience where you can meet new people, possibly learn a new language and discover a new way of life.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
We need a volunteer who ENJOYS PLAYING WITH CHILDREN speaking in English, able to use her/his initiative, is kind and energetic. Quality time is important for us and that means TIME WITHOUT MOBILE PHONES, so “Tech or mobile phone addicts” who cannot focused on what they’re doing or even offer playing time without checking the phone every 2 minutes, please avoid texting us back.
We´d love to have someone who is fun, loving and caring who will play, draw, read, play piano or any other instrument, dance (badly) and keep the girls entertained!.
We'll need you to go with Ivet to/from school BY BIKE 4 days per week twice per day and that means that knowing how to RIDE A BIKE is BASIC.
We are looking for a girl/boy whose mother tongue is English as we wish for our two girls to have a good command of the language in the future.
Arlet (12 y.o.) can communicate in English very well while Ivet (10 y.o.) can understand almost everything but needs to be a little bit more confident when speaking.
We would like you to help them improve their English by playing games, making art and crafts, cooking, going to the park, riding on bike, playing music, doing HW, etc… My husband and I can speak English, so there would be no need for you to learn Spanish if you don’t feel like learning our language.
Weekends will be free time for you (from Saturday to Sunday), plus one more weekday (usually on Mondays).
While you are here we would also like you to help out with a little bit of housework, nothing serious, just things like setting and cleaning the table, helping the girls tidy the playroom, putting and taking out children’ s laundry , sweeping and other normal house jobs.
We don't have rules on what time you get home at night or if you stay out and come back the next day. However, we would like you to tell us when you go out. We would like you to have fun but want to keep you safe :)
We would love it if you ate with us and spent time with us as we want you to become and feel a part of the family, but, of course this isn't compulsory!
Some house rules:
- Take off your shoes when entering the house (it helps keeping it clean)
- Turn off lights when you are not at home
- Short showers (try to be eco-friendly)
- Leave everything as clean as you found it and where you found it
- Mobile phones, TV and tech devices away when eating and sharing time with the girls
- Meals in the dining room (not in your bedroom)
- Remember that you are supposed to give us a hand (not more hard work)
- Smoking is not allowed in the houseLanguages
