Hi I am a single woman in her 60s with an 1880s historic weather board house on 5 acres on the edge of the small town of St Marys on the east coast of Tasmania. I have a dog, 2 horses, ducks and chickens and a large garden.
My place, is currently run as a seasonal Bed & Breakfast from late December usually until early April. It is only 10 minutes from the beautiful east coast beaches and surrounded by natural bush with many good horse riding and walking trails. St Marys is a very friendly town that welcomes visitors and has many cafes and interesting art and craft outlets and activities.

Help in the house
If they don't already have the experience they could learn gardening skills, grooming horses, painting, restoring furniture,.
I am primarily looking for people to help me with the garden, paddocks and with the ongoing renovation of the house. Basic carpentry and painting skills would be appreciated as would willingness to cook some meals.
I can provide a bed sitting room with double bed, couch, TV, desk etc and separate bathroom facilities. It is unlikely I would be able to take volunteers at the same time as B&B guests.
I have two vehicles, an old "farm truck" the 4WD Toyota dual cab ute and a staion wagon. You would be welcome to use either one for excursions and adventures around the area. There is lots to see and do all along the east coats and further inland eg Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay, Evercreech Forest, Ben Lomond National Park etc etc. As well, both Calows Coaches and our Community Transport service provide excellent transport to Launceston and Hobart for further excursions.
