Description
Hello, my name is Laurence, and together with my husband, we are fully enjoying our retirement in a beautiful natural setting near the village of Arreau. Here, between mountains and valleys, we live simply and peacefully.
Our son, Pierre, is a gardener and is looking for volunteers to help in the garden—whether it's sowing, tending the crops, or harvesting, and there are always things to do around the house: some household tasks, stacking wood… He is also working on woodworking projects. Pierre also makes his own bread !
We are warm and welcoming people who love sharing our daily life with those who come to lend a hand. If you enjoy nature, fresh air, and a simple yet friendly way of life, you will feel right at home with us!

Bonjour, je m’appelle Laurence, et avec mon mari, nous profitons pleinement de notre retraite dans un cadre naturel exceptionnel, proche du village d’Arreau. Ici, entre montagnes et vallées, nous vivons simplement.
Notre fils, Pierre, est maraîcher et cherche des volontaires pour l’aider au jardin : semis, entretien des cultures, récolte… Toute aide est la bienvenue ! En plus du maraîchage, il y a toujours quelque chose à faire à la maison : , du bois à ranger… Il est également sur des projets de menuiserie. Pierre fait aussi son propre pain !
Nous sommes des personnes conviviales et aimons partager notre quotidien avec ceux qui viennent nous donner un coup de main. Si vous aimez la nature, le grand air et un mode de vie simple et chaleureux, vous serez les bienvenus chez nous !

At home, you can help us with various tasks :
🌱 Gardening: Pierre grows vegetables, and you can assist with harvesting, maintaining the gardens, or planting. He makes his own compost and is very involved in ecological projects (permaculture) ! There’s always something to do in the garden, and your help is more than welcome! 😉
🍽 Daily tasks & shared moments: For us, conviviality is essential. We love cooking and sharing good meals, and we’ll appreciate your help with meal preparation and house maintenance. Here, we live simply, in harmony with nature and in a joyful atmosphere.

A la maison, vous pourrez nous aider dans différentes tâches :
🌱 jardinage : Pierre cultive des légumes, vous pourrez l'aider tant dans la cueillette des légumes que dans la tenue des jardins ou encore dans la plantation. Il fait son propre composte et est très impliqué dans les projets écologistes (permaculture) ! Il y a toujours un petit quelque chose à faire au jardin. Et votre aide est la bienvenue. 😉
🍽 Participation aux tâches quotidiennes : chez nous, la convivialité est essentielle. Nous aimons cuisiner et partager de bons repas, et nous apprécierons votre aide pour préparer les repas, entretenir la maison. Ici, on vit simplement, en harmonie avec la nature et dans la bonne humeur.

Once a month, I take English lessons :) I would be delighted to expand my vocabulary with you 1 fois par mois, je prends des cours d'anglais :) je serai ravie de pouvoir développer mon vocabulaire avec toi !
Accommodation
We have a large renovated house next to ours, specially set up for Workawayers and travelers passing through (shepherds, etc.).
You will have a private room with a bed, a wardrobe, and a desk. There is also a shared kitchen where everyone gathers in the evening to enjoy good meals and share convivial moments.
If you’re interested, we also have space for tents! 😊
As for meals, generally, lunch is shared with Pierre, while for dinner, everyone prepares their own meal in the shared kitchen. The meals are always convivial !

Nous possédons à côté de chez nous, une grande maison rénovée et aménagée pour les workaway et/ou les gens de passage (bergers, stagiaires).
Vous disposerez alors d'une chambre avec un lit, une armoire, un bureau.
Il y a également une cuisine et un salon partagés. Le soir tout le monde s'y retrouve pour passer des moments conviviaux et partager de bons petits repas, et des moments musicaux !
A la belle saison, nous avons de la place pour les tentes si jamais cela vous intéresse ! 😊
Concernant les repas, généralement le midi, les repas se feront avec Pierre ou la famille, pour le soir, tout le monde se prépare à manger dans la cuisine de la coloc. Les repas sont conviviaux !

At home, there are bikes that you can use to explore the surrounding area.
The largest nearby town :
Visit to Toulouse: about 1.5 hours from here. The city is very charming, and there’s plenty to see and do.
Spain is not far away either

A la maison il y a des vélos, vous pourrez les utiliser pour vous balader dans les environs.
La plus grande ville dans les environs :
visite de Toulouse : à environ 1h30 de chez nous. La ville est très agréable et il y a un tas de chose à visiter.
L'Espagne n'est pas loin non plus à 1h en voiture.
