    Description

We are a small, energetic family based just outside Furano in Hokkaido, Japan. There are three adults and one adventurous seven year old in our crew, and we split our time between two properties within ten minutes of Furano town.

One is a spacious house in town where the four of us live. It has plenty of bedrooms and a relaxed, welcoming feel.
The second is a nearby farmhouse with beautiful rural views and space for campers and campervans. Both places are works in progress, and we are looking for hands-on, practical people who enjoy light renovations, small projects and bringing spaces to life.

In winter, when the snow is good, we head to the ski hill most days.
Furano has fantastic snow, a fun mountain culture and plenty of cosy local restaurants to explore after a day outside. There is also loads to see nearby, including the famous Blue Lake and beautiful countryside in every direction. Sapporo has direct access by train, making it easy to explore the wider region on your days off.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner five days a week, and you will be treated as part of the family rather than just a helper.
We value initiative, a positive attitude and people who enjoy being around children and community life.

If you are keen to experience Hokkaido, contribute to two evolving homes and enjoy snow, nature and good food, we would love to hear from you.
