Description
Hey hey Workaway community! 😊
I'm a 31-year-old Kiwi who has spent over five years travelling the world, visiting more than 60 countries and doing working holidays in several of them. Those experiences were some of the highlights of my travels, so now it's my turn to return the favour and host!
Our farm is a little slice of paradise. We're just 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best starry skies you'll ever see.
I'm hoping to welcome people who value kindness, respect, good conversation, and enjoying the simple things in life. My goal is to create an easy-going environment where work gets done, but having a great experience together is just as important.
Life here is pretty laid back. My days usually involve slow mornings with reading and breakfast, a bit of computer work, spending time with my mum and grandmother, heading to the home gym (you're welcome to use it too!), then getting stuck into whatever needs doing around the farm. Evenings are for sunsets, good food, and catching up with friends. We also have a sauna if you'd like to unwind after a day's work. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about other cultures, languages, and ways of life. In return, I'm happy to share what everyday life is like in New Zealand, whether that's farm life, local experiences, or recommendations for places to explore.
We'll often share meals together, chat about our travels and experiences, and I'm happy to show you some of the local beaches, walking tracks, cafés, and attractions. I want your stay to be more than just work and I hope you'll leave with great memories, new friendships, and a genuine experience of Kiwi life - If you decide to leave paradise at all! Haha :) -
Help
The help is a relaxed mix of farm, lifestyle, and general property tasks. We have cattle, chickens, our friendly cat Molly, gardens, an orchard, and there's always something different happening, so no two days are ever the same. I know what it's like to travel, so I want your stay to feel like much more than just work.
I'm very flexible with schedules. As long as we stay on top of what's needed, you're welcome to choose when you'd like to help and when you'd like to head off exploring New Zealand. I'm always happy to share local recommendations—or even join you on an adventure if the timing works out!
No experience is necessary—I'm much more interested in finding friendly, reliable people who are keen to learn and have a good attitude. I'll happily teach you anything you need to know, and whenever possible we'll work together rather than leaving you on your own. -

Accommodation
I want your stay to feel as comfortable as possible, so you'll have your own private single room, unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi, and all meals included. You will be sharing our lovely warm and dry home with two of my best friends, and a lovely young Sri Lankan couple. If you need transport, I'm happy to help where I can—whether that's getting you into town, picking you up, or helping you explore some of the local sights. Having travelled myself, I know how much those little things can make a difference, and I'll do my best to make you feel at home.
