We have an organic farm. We farm, harvest, process and sell organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and other foods in a small scale. The farm is also a place for holistic spiritual growth. We host workshops and events of Organic Agriculture, Yoga, Retreats and especially Native American spirituality and healing practices like sweat lodge and other rituals. It is a space of respect for nature and it has an area of reforestation and conservation.
The main house is a charming, simple old typical peasant house and the house for travelers is a small one by the river. This is a beautiful spot with an amazing vibe where animals, trees and flowers are free and happy. It has a small river to bathe.
We have a tropical weather: spring all year long. Day temperature: 25 - 30 degrees Celsius (77 - 87 F) / Night 18 - 25 degrees (64 -77 F). Rainy seasons: April, May / September, October... not as predictable. Altitude: 1380 mts over sea level. (4527 feet)
We run an alternative way of life with non-industrialized organic farming and promote a natural way to live near nature recovering the wisdom of our ancestors. We support the Indigenous medical doctors (shamans) so they can come from their communities and share their medicines. We have a big territory with an old house, a large amount is destined to reforestation plans (trees are planted al ready). We have beautiful projects with small resources. This is why our infrastructure wouldn't be enough to feed all the volunteers.
For this reason we are asking for $10,000 COP per day (This is between 3 and 6 dollars, depending on the exchange rate).
I know you will understand and we are sure you are going to spend a great time, meet wonderful people, learn Spanish, learn about organic farming, construction and get to know Native American (North, Central and South) rituals and healing ceremonies.
We bet it will be a life transforming experience!

We are located at the the western Colombian tropical rain forest, where there are plenty of natural sanctuaries and rivers to visit. We are near a small village which is quite alive where there is permanent transportation to Cali and other places, either by bus or taxi motorcycle, tricycle or car.
We are 45 minutes away of the big city or Cali, they say it is one of the most attractive places for tourism in Colombia.

In developing countries (Where most hosts are involved in charity work or community development) some of our hosts may ask for a small donation to help the host family or charity (often less then 5 dollars per day) Workaway will allow this listing when the donation goes directly to the family or charity and is just to cover the cost of the volunteer‘s stay. (This will be clearly marked on the host listing).
We will strictly not allow listings posted by agents, “middle men” or projects who we feel are looking to profit from a volunteers stay.
