Description
We are a family of 5 (and 2 dogs) living just outside Wroclaw, one of the major cities in Poland. Wroclaw is often called Venice of the North due to numerous bridges connecting different parts of the city. Its turbulent history resulted in incredibly rich architectural and cultural heritage, now also followed by all modern amenities. The father works remotely from home and I am a mum of three daughters (born in 2008, 2011 and 2014) working part-time in the local community centre. Some time ago we decided to homeschool our kids and we love it! We'd like to use the chance to bring the world to our home by inviting volunteers and give our kids a chance to speak English, maybe some Spanish.

You can get to know one of the most beautiful cities in Poland and possibly a lot of its surroundings. We will definitely try to feed you some traditional Polish meals and try to help you feel the Central-Eastern Eurpean atmosphere

Help
We'd like you to spend time with our kids in order for them to speak English and some Spanish, too. This may include playing some board games, walking the dogs together, jumping on our trampoline, painting, drawing, playing instruments (if you can-we own a piano and a guitar)maybe cooking if you are keen on that. If you feel confident enough with English grammar, we'd ask you to go through some book-based English lessons with our daughters. When you are with us we'd like you to participate in daily routines like walking the dogs, loading/unloading dishwasher, raking leaves in autumn/fall, grass cutting maybe . Most days I cook meals for our family (and you will be a part of it during your stay) but we would love to try some other dishes if you can make some. It defenitely will not exceed 5 hours a day and since we study/homeschool 4 days a week it is ok for you to take a day off on a weekday and go for a longer trip or guided tour in the city. We often take part in museum lessons, workshops, etc. We do sometimes go to the Polish seaside as we own a tiny vacation flat there. Every other month we go for weekend trips to major cities or go hiking in the Polish mountains, typically with other homeschoolers. You are welcome to come with us. We sometimes go skiing or bikeriding weather allowing. Once or twice we may ask you to stay with the kids in the evening.

We offer a room for maximum of 2 people(one bed), access to kitchen and bathroom. Most days I serve meals but you are welcome to help with cooking.
What else ...
I often go to the city and can give you a lift but we also have some public transportation here going directly to the city centre. You may want to visit the ZOO with its Afrykarium part. Panoramic painting in Panorama Raclawicka is worth seeing, too. Many turists enjoy looking for numerous Wroclaw dwarves.
