Searching for harmony, immersing myself in „here and now”, the beauty of simple life when you stay connected with nature and accept with gratefulness what a single day unfolds for you – this is my journey, this is what keeps me happy and alive.
Hi Folks, I'm Ludmiła. A long-time ime ago I have discovered that people are good if you're brave enough to trust them and respect their differences. For four years I have been a workaway host (see the link if you wanna read the feedback: ) and I think I have learned how to strike a balance between giving and taking. Now I want to try to be on the other side – a traveller with an open heart, helping others to make their dreams come true...
I have done various jobs in my life ( a writer, a teacher, a mother, a cook, a gardener, a sculpturer, a home educator), but the biggest lesson I learned was when my husband and I bought a hundred-year-old farm and worked, worked, worked to make it a place where you could live a good life. We started from scratch. We made everything ourselves with the help of our workawayers. Now it's a place where you can find peace and beauty of a simple life. We shared thousands of stories that inspired and motivated us to follow the path we chose. Now, I want to pass those stories to other people. I want to see other places filled with the beauty of a simple life.
I am a writer so I'm pretty flexible with my job :) I would need two quiet hours in the morning to write and the rest of the day I can help out with any jobs that are required. Cooking (oh, I love cooking and lots of people have been happy about that :) ) I make my own bread and I can bake. I have a creative soul. I'm pretty good with any work that requires creativity. I grow my own fruit and vegetables. (I make compost and know the rules of permaculture). I'm fine with getting my hands dirty. Also, I love children so I could do some fun activities with them too.
I have a homeschooled daughter (she's 10) and son (he's 6) I would love to take them sometimes with me. (I would like to do a few solo trips and a few with the kids) My kids speak English very well. My daughter is a smart, open, artistic girl who could be great company for your kids. She loves taking care of younger kids and is very good at sorting stuff) My son is a joyful, smart boy who's definitely talented in cooking. He's able to do loads of things himself (like making pancakes, weeding the garden or cleaning the toilet) We are all very flexible as we're homeschoolers and I can do my job everywhere where I can find a bit of solitude for a while.

Help in the house
You can be part of our family and witness all that love brings to everyday life. Sometimes it's crazy and wild, sometimes peaceful and deeply melancholic but it's always authentic and real. It's slow life that sometimes speeds up, it's slow food that sometimes turns into celebration, it's the volcanoes of energy of our kids, it's the artistic soul of our house. These are your lessons...
What kind of help will we need? Well, we renovate the house ourselves with the minimum amount of money being spent. At the same time we live there with 3 kids and you can imagine how hard it might be.
Any help would be appreciated - there's plenty of gardening (actually we just have to make the garden from the very beginning), building the fence from the stones, carpentry work, painting, and the walls, cleaning up the attic, renovating and decorating the old furniture, playing with our kids :) You'll find lots of things to do.
Also this September we started homeschooling our daughter so we would be more than happy to meet workawayers who can contribute to this project.
DURING WINTER TIME WE MOSTLY NEED PEOPLE WHO LOVE KIDS AND HAVE SOME ARTISTIC OR MUSIC SKILLS TO BE PART OF OUR HOMESCHOOLING PROJECT
You'll have your own room that can be your own world for a while.
If you decide to come to our farm to volunteer, you'll find nature that inspires and makes you feel you are in the right place, in the right moment. Next to the house there's a wonderful valley with 100-year-old trees of 40 species, it was created by the dutches who lived in the nearby palace, then if you take a bike you can see a beatiful lake, the hills, and the snowy peaks of Karkonosze Mountains, there is also the river Bóbr, a wild one, a magical one.
The village is very old , almost every house has its hundred -year -old history. Also the whole area where we live is full of interesting old castles and palaces, there are some beautiful lakes, there a village where only artists live, there are wonderful mountains about 30 km away and an interesting, one of the most beautiful cities in Poland Wrocaław (about 100 km away).
