This was my first exerience with WorkAway and I consider myself very lucky to have found Margit and Ture. I felt entirely welcomed into their home and family. They were very generous to share dinner and other fresh, delicious food. I helped with gardening, weeding, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and building a stone path. I loved spending
… read more time with their daughter and accompanying her to the stables. They have the sweetest dogs that brought me much comfort and joy. It was a delight to eat fresh eggs from the two hens every day. It was also a treat to walk across the road to the weekly farmers market. The location is beautiful and peaceful but easily accessible to town. Mullumbimby has so much to offer for its size. I will always treasure my time there!

I have spent an amazing week and a half with ture, Margit, zilas, sani and the other furry members of the family and absolutely loved it!
The place is in a great location, not so far from mullumbimby village but also a bit on the outside so the stars are absolutely stunning at night.
I liked the chill atmosphere and free hand I had during my stay.
… read more I ended up gardening and doing some cooking and just spending time with everyone.
I only left because i had to start a new job, otherwise would have loved to stay for more time.

I had a very relaxing and fun time in Mullumbimby with this beautiful family. Ture, Margit, Silas, and Sita were all amazing hosts. I am definitely going to miss all of them, including their dogs, cat, and chicken. I stayed with the family for about 10 days in their caravan in the backyard and was able to use the bathroom inside the house and the
… read more outdoor shower. It the perfect setup to have my own space and I honestly loved the outdoor shower. They were very flexible on the hours I worked and what I did. I ended up doing some cleaning, organizing, and baking, along with helping with dinner prep and cleanup. We all ate dinners together and the food was great. Ture makes an excellent homemade chicken soup! The fridge was always stocked, so there was always plenty to eat for breakfast and lunch, too.
I had access to a bike to be able to go into town, and Ture and Margit were also willing to drive me to Brunswick or Byron whenever they were going. The farmers market on Friday mornings is right across the street from the house, which is very convenient and I enjoyed checking that out. The kids are 12 and 14 years old so there is no babysitting involved but I enjoyed spending time with both of them. Sita is a great dancer and I had fun doing TikTok dances with her, and Silas is very athletic and we had fun going on the trampoline together. Both the kids are very friendly and chatty and bring a great energy to the home.
I would highly recommend these hosts to anyone looking to explore Mullum and the surrounding area. Mullum is a very small town but you really get a good sense for authentic ausie life here. Thank you Ture, Margit, and family for being amazing hosts! I hope to see you all again some day!Feedback

We had an amazing time with Margit, Ture and the kids ! We really felt like a part of the family. We had great dinner times all together with a lot of sharing and laughing. They were really easy going about everything. We loved the company of the doggies and the cat as well :)

Rosanna was awesome! Always proactive about work she applied herself to any task. She was great with the kids and it was a joy to have her positive and friendly nature around.
