Description
Born in Lithuania, lived in London for nearly 20 years and now residing in the remote hamlet in the south west France. The house dates back to 1600s, it is of spacious proportions and with historic character . The setting is very peaceful and natural; There are many walks through the woods, open fields and villages directly from the property and cycling routes of various difficulties. The surrounding area is hills and valleys and very beautiful with almost no traffic or many people at anytime of year. The air here feels deliciously clean :-) scented with wild flowers in spring and summer . I’d say It’s nature lovers paradise . The nearest major town Angouleme is vibrant with a historic centre offering many cultural events and can be reached via a specially built cycling route (60 km round journey).
Yoga and meditation sessions are available if there is an interest. In the house there are four large bedrooms all en suite , a spacious kitchen/diner and a separate salon . I am an enthusiastic cook and always try to source ingredients that are locally seasonal and organic. Once all refurbishment works are completed, my goal is to offer the house for creative workshops. Help is mostly needed in the exterior - there is extensive garden which needs landscaping, including building and repairing dry stone walls and general maintenance/tidying.Types of help and learning opportunities

Calmness, nature, creativity, (spiritual) growth, curiosity, friendship, delicious meals, connecting; those are the words that pop up if i think about my stay at Les Buis.
I felt so at home, from the moment I arrived because of Martina’s (and friends) loving energy.
Instead of the planned 2 weeks, I stayed for about 6… read more
