Description
We are a family of 3; 1 adult and 2 babies, living in Fermoy, Ireland.
I am looking for a minimum stay of three months. I prefer females and I am looking for someone mature and reliable. It’s important to me that you can be flexible with your time. I am looking for someone who can help with light duties around the house, some cooking and on occasion, a little help with babies. You will not be asked to babsit on your own at any time.
Help with babies might mean putting a soother back in for one if I am busy with the other, or a little play time on a mat but not more than this.
It would be a benefit to you, if you have a car.
I like to spend time travelling during the warmer months. I enjoy the outdoors, going for a drive or a swim in the sea or local reservoir or an afternoon in the park.Types of help and learning opportunities

I live in North Cork in a lovely town called Fermoy. The town has many amenities and facilities as well as a town park, beautiful river, cafes, shops, sporting amenities such as golf, swimming, squash and many more, as well as clubs of all sorts, including musical, theatre, cards and many, many more. There are also English language lessons nearby.
Fermoy has many attractions close by with culture, walks and exploring within easy reach.
There are plenty of international students in Fermoy and a lot of opportunities to meet up with other students and non Irish if you so wish.
This will give workaways time to improve their English speaking skills. There are also options of taking classes locally.
You will have time to explore the beauty of Ireland and experience living with an Irish family. Our town resides on the river Blackwater. I want our workaway to be part of our family and to make yourself at home in our home.
I hope to learn from you as much as you learn from me.
I would like to learn about your country, customs and food.
There are many shops in Cork city where you may be able to purchase foods from home.
As you will be an important support for me, we will have interaction all day long. If you are interested, you can accompany me on trips to the coffee shop, walks, shopping trips to Cork city and other trips where you can experience life in Ireland. There is another workawayer living a few houses away, and so this could provide opportunities for you both to explore Ireland together at weekends, if it suited. You will have the opportunity to learn 'everyday' English language.Au Pair Help
This host has let us know they’ll be complying with Irish regulations for au pair stays.here

Help
I will need someone to help around the home with some light household duties, helping to keep my home clean and tidy. It would be ideal if you could cook a little also.
The babies are 10 months old, so I will be focussing on taking care of them. You will not be here to take care of the babies.
I am looking for someone who is energetic, kind, caring and flexible who can keep a home clean and tidy. I would expect that you wouldn't need constant guidance, and that after a few weeks would see what needs to be done without needing to be asked. A daily and weekly task list will be provided, but working on your own initiative is very much appreciated as it's a busy house. Light household duties include tasks such as washing clothes, sterilising babies bottles, sweeping floors, filling and emptying the dishwasher, cleaning up after meals, dusting and other similar duties.
I would like you to become part of my family whilst you stay with me.
As we will be living in the same home, I want you to feel welcome, and like it's your own home so it's essential that we get on and can communicate openly and regularly with each other. I will include you in, and invite you to activities outside of your working hours. It will be your decision to take part or decline as suits you, however this is so you feel welcome, not just in my home but in life in Ireland.
I like to cook so I am happy to do this myself, but am open to you cooking from time to time if you would like. I am also happy to teach you how to cook if you would like. I would also like to learn some recipes from your home country too if you could teach me.Languages spoken

Accommodation
Accommodation is a single room and use of the main bathroom.
You will be welcome to eat with me at meal times or whenever you feel hungry. Food will be provided and I will be happy to share the experience of cooking together, eating together and sharing my home and friends.
I enjoy socialising but also enjoy downtime. Ideally, you would be social and chatty too, as it’s important that we communicate well, to make this an enjoyable experience for both of us.
I am a warm and caring person that would welcome the right person into my home and life.
A car would be great as it allows you to travel more freely, and would be an advantage. What else ...
Fermoy is 20-30 minutes from Cork city by car, or approx. 40 minutes by bus.
It is also on the main bus route from Cork to Dublin. Waterford and Limerick cities also easily accessible from Fermoy.

There are taxis available locally in the town also.
