Description
I'm Norelle Emeryl , 49 year old, living in Namibia. I live on a small one hectare plot on a larger farm community. I am an organic gardener, growing my own food, herbs, flowers and teas. I am also a tour operator, arranging holidays for visitors to Namibia.
I have 3 children, all abroad at university so I live alone in my 3-bedroom house, which means I am able to host 2 volunteers at a time or a couple in one bedroom and a single person in the 2nd bedroom. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The farm is 60 km south of Windhoek, the capitol city and 25 km north of the small town Rehoboth and there are taxis that move between these locations and the farm , thus the volunteers can go to nearby events, pubs and restaurants if required.
On the same farm where my plot is located is a Strawberry farm which is a local tourist attraction.
I am also willing to take the volunteers to nearby attractions, such as the Lake Oanob Dam outside the town of Rehoboth.
Furthermore, I am a local Namibian who follow the Rastafarian way of living, hence I live on the farm, grow my own food and have a vast knowledge of the local culture that I grew up in. I will be happy to exchange with volunteers information and conversations on our local culture as well as my lifestyle.
I am also a travel agent and have vast knowledge about traveling Namibia as well as Namibian history and culture. -
