Description
Join Our Vibrant Farm Family in North West Tasmania!
Nestled just outside a charming town in North West Tasmania, our farm offers the best of both worlds: breathtaking mountain ranges meeting the stunning coastline and a welcoming, tight-knit community. Our home is surrounded by abundant wildlife, from bandicoots and wallabies to vibrant birdlife, providing a peaceful and enriching environment.
We’re Lisa and Julian, along with our three adventurous boys—Finn (8), Lenny (6), and Toby (3). We’re a nature-loving, travel-inspired family who thrives on good food, cooking, and community living. Julian speaks fluent Italian and French, having lived in both countries, while Lisa has traveled across Asia, North and South America. We share a love for exploring the outdoors, and we’re eager to welcome like-minded people who value connection and experience.
Our 3-acre permaculture property is just 3 minutes from the ocean, where we raise chickens, grow fruit and vegetables, and take care of our friendly Australian Miniature Goats. These gentle, curious creatures are not only our pets but also help with weed management, fertilizing, and fire safety. If you’ve never met an Aussie Mini Goat before, get ready to fall in love with their playful and affectionate nature!
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us, whether you’re passionate about farming, sustainable living, or simply want to experience life in one of Tasmania’s most beautiful regions. In return, you’ll experience farm life, share in delicious home-cooked meals, and be part of our fun, active household.Types of help and learning opportunities

I spent 3 very good weeks with you. Concerned that I could fully enjoy my free time, Lisa and Julian were very accommodating and I could see a lot of things at Penguin during this period.
I will keep very good memories of my stay with this really good family, and… read more
