  • Description

Hello, my name is Pedro. I live here with my wife Mayara and our son Ravi. I'm planting food forests with syntropic principles since 2010.

Food forests or "Agroflorestas" in brazilian portuguese are a very intelligent way of agriculture, because it's goal is to plant forests and to show the world that reforesting can produce great amounts of healthy food.

We're located in Pirenópolis - Goiás, wich is a historical city, from the time of gold exploring in central Brazil. The city is surrounded by beautiful mountains and waterfalls and has many things to discover.

We have 3 ha of biodiverse food forests of different ages and we're expanding with focus on organic coffee.

They will learn about the native ecosystem called Cerrado, will have the chance to know a historical city from the 18th century, as well as cristal water waterfalls and with the principles of Syntropyc farming and the "MAIS" project.

Volunteers will learn regenerative agriculture in the tropics, we can share our way of understanding life and it's processes.

Here we practice techniques of SYNTROPIC FARMING, taught by Ernst Götsch.

Managing and expanding the food forests are the main tasks, which include planting, prunning, working in the plant nursery, harvesting vegetables, fruitsand seeds, collecting organic matter, irrigating, taking care of chickens, gardening and doing small repairs in the buildings.

We have a very abundant and diverse production of food in our garden and we welcome those who enjoy cooking with fresh food and trying new recipes !

We enjoy musicians as well and we can stare the beautiful cerrado sky at nights!

    What else ...

Pirenópolis is a very charming city from the 18th century in Central Brazil, full of waterfalls in it's surroundings. I'ts also close to the capital Brasília and the capital of the Goiás State, Goiânia.

It's a very cultural city with many shows and artistic manifestations in the weekends, when a lot of tourists come to Pirenópolis.

You can enjoy the calm enviroment of Sitio Flor & Ser as well in you time off.

You can transport yourself with taxi, mototaxi, of bicycles that we offer.
