We sold it all and moved from Florida to Puerto Rico to start young coffee farm. We have also launched the third coffee tree adoption program in the world working with select specialty coffee farmers in Puerto Rico.
We are a family of 2 baby girls, a husband and a wife. We wanted to become part of the solution to rebuilding Puerto Rico and decided coffee was our mission. To put the island back on the map for the highest quality specialty coffee the way it used to be over 100 years ago.
We have a 20 acre farm in the jungle/forest, in the mountains with a private river and waterfall on our property.
(We prefer couples or pairs so if you want to help and you are alone, look on workaway for a travel buddy. Also, we only consider help from those who are 21 years and older.)
Your lodging is an off-grid, semi-converted ranch with 1 bedroom and 1 full bath with toilet and shower. Cold water only for now. AT&T cellphone service works and our wifi signal reaches the ranch if you dont have AT&T. Charge your phones, laptops, tablets at our house during work hours. Your lodging has access to river through backyard.

Our visitors will learn the history of watercress and coffee in Puerto Rico. Our location is unique to the island in that our micro-climate is ideal for growing high quality coffee and watercress due to our soil and river access.
This island was once the number one exporter of coffee and regarded as the best quality by Kings and popes. Watercress was also a main food along the rivers for Taino indians.
Here, our visitors will learn this history and become part of the mission to bring it back to that level of quality.
Our visitors will be emersed in Puerto Rican culture with our selection of fruits and root crops and cooking style.
We also hope to learn a lot about our visitors and their backgrounds and what brought them to Puerto Rico to learn about the culture.
We need help harvesting our watercress on Mondays and Thursdays mostly. A small knife is all that is needed. Our coffee and plantain areas must be weeded and maintained daily. We are an agro-ecological farm. The visitor can help from 7am to 12pm and have the best of the sunlight to relax by the waterfall and river banks.
Examples of farm tasks include: mowing grass, pulling weeds, planting, harvesting, organic fertilizing, cleaning tools, fencing, building, clearing paths, small huts, painting, etc.
