WE'RE LOOKING FOR HELP FROM 22ND OF JUNE UNTIL THE 5TH OF JULY!

Get inspired by the bio-ecological renovation of our cohousingproject (around 30 adults, 5 children, cats, some dogs...) in Meise, near Brussels : we have ecological, social and spiritual goals.

At the moment, we have a field that we are currently developing:

    - Building a compost toilet & outdoor shower.
    - Garden work (mowing, building a haystack, maintainance...)

Therefore, we are particularly looking for individuals skilled in carpentry or gardening.

Most of the residents have jobs outside the community and work on weekdays. This means that, while we welcome and guide you as best as we can, we won’t always be around, and you’ll often work independently. We are looking for people who are comfortable with this. For this reason, we think duos might enjoy their time here more, but of course, individuals are more than welcome as well.

The actual cohousing community, located next to the field we wish to develop/renovate, counts 30 people of different age and origin. Most of us speak Dutch and are fluent in French and English too. Some of us can also speak Spanish, German and Arabic.

By staying here, you’ll have the opportunity to experience our ecological and social project up close and learn a lot about community living and how this is translated into reality.

Some residents have started their own sub-projects nearby (a herbal tea garden and a food forest). Even though you won’t be working on these projects, you can learn a lot about them. These individuals are happy to share their knowledge with you (if they are there and not on vacation).

In the village where you’ll be staying, there’s a sports complex where you can play squash, bowl, table tennis, pool, and more.
If village life isn’t your thing, you can head to the big city. Vibrant Brussels is only 13 km away (1 hour by public transport or 45 minutes by bike). There is something for everyone there (flea markets, farmers' markets, music, hundreds of cafés, karaoke bars, museums, exhibitions, festivals, and much more).

Activities sometimes take place within the community itself (such as communal meals, singing circles, plant-based cooking workshops, yoga, potlucks, and more). You might have the chance to participate in these if interested.
