    Description

We are a small family business providing luxury accommodation (10 individual bungalows) on a 40-acre plot of farmland. Inside of the property, we are also running a zero waste company where we collect recycled plastic from the resort and businesses around town and give it a new life.

Our agenda is to try to move our resort towards a more eco-friendly business and there are plans to build a Zero Waste Restaurant and cafe sourced by what we grow on site. It is a long way still from being zero waste so we really welcome volunteers with expertise in this field, or volunteers that are willing to learn alongside us through trial and error.

The property is not far from the famous hiking spot, Phukradueng, Loei province and is on the main road between Loei and Bangkok, so very easy to access! The downside is that there is quite a lot of traffic passing the front of the property, however, it is easy to escape the road by walking into the farm where we have a huge variety of tropical fruits and vegetables growing.

The work here varies from season to season (see more details below!) so there will be times when precise work needs doing and times when your initiative and ideas will be very welcome - if you are inspired to start a project while you are here then let's talk about it - we have the resources! We really welcome volunteers who know how to enjoy themselves as we are quite isolated from town (although it's only a 10 minute drive) - It is very quiet here you will probably only meet a handful of people while staying with us. Please make sure you are ok with that. We do have 8 cats, one dog a bunch of goats and sheep for your company if you need hugs they are always available.

Please get in touch if you are interested in joining our journey!

    1. Free accommodation and stuff to make your own food - there is an abundance of tropical fruits to choose from (that means smoothies!!!) and we will provide you with cooking equipments and eggs, bread, veggies, or meat if you prefer for you to cook. If you don't know how to cook you can also let's us know we can find the way to work it together. Sometimes we will eat together but we do fasting during the day quite often so it is best you don't wait for us to eat. There is a corner shop nearby so you will be able to buy things for yourself if we don't have them. If there is something you need, let us know and we can pick it up from the shops in town when we go (within reason of course!).

    2. Get to learn about Zero Waste and experiment alongside us on our journey towards zero waste. We are not at our destination yet and you will experience the challenging reality of trying our best to get there to together. So be ready!

    3. Have the opportunity (based on the season!) to learn about how to run a 40-acres of land growing a diverse array of tropical fruits and vegetables in a traditional way.

    4. In your free time, you can enjoy some beautiful walks through the countryside and local Thai villages.

    5. love and affection from our farm animal. They are super friendly.

  • Help

    Help

We need help with a variety of different tasks which change depending on the season, including (but not limited to!): processing and canning fruits, taking care of plants, repainting furniture, organizing our barn, taking pictures to post on social media, making art out of trash, various DIY projects, harvesting crops, cleaning/preparing the guest rooms, weeding, making recycled plastic bag, making tile from recycled plastic etc... There is always work to be done on the property and a lot of tasks which need completing! If possible, we will let you know ahead of time what kind of work you will be expected to do.

As mentioned previously, there will be times when there are precise jobs which need doing and times when initiative and the ability to work ***independently will be crucial!

It is not uncommon that sometimes we might leave you with some tasks and we would be gone the whole day because we have to run errands.

Your initiative and creativity are always very welcome! If you have something that you want to try out then we can talk about it and it's very possible that we will be able to provide you with the resources. We are very flexible and eager to learn from you as well as share our knowledge!

    Accommodation

The accommodation will be a tent under the roof. We have the bedding provide but you can ask for more mattresses or blankets if you need them. it is about 50 meters from the main road. if you have trouble sleeping with the noise , before coming it is best to get ear plugs from 7/11. The bathroom is for sharing among volunteers and workers. There is no air conditioning so it can get quite hot during the day in summer but we do have a fan. And for winter you don’t need to worry about the fan at all.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

You can hike up Phukradueng mountain on your days off! National park opens from Oct1-June30 or you could hitchhike to a waterfall if you like.

Also we have some rules that we want everyone to follow strictly because there were problems before and we don't want that to happen again.

1.NO drugs aside from cannabis! We grow and sell cannabis here but volunteer are not allowed to smoke or consume weed during day time.
    2.no drinking
    3. light's out by10pm.
    4. Since we live in a rural area of Thailand, people are dressing more modestly and on top of that we are also a resort. So we kindly ask for you to dress modestly in the property meaning for guys please keep your shirt on and for girls we would appreciate something else that is not a tiny tank top, super short short pants and paper thin leggings.

We start working at 9am-12pm and 2-5pm, with 2 days off in a week, so there is time for rest in the middle of the day and evening strolls after 5pm when it's nice and cool.

On the day off, we are not providing food but you can find food easily around here in the village.

We go to town quite often you can come along with us sometimes if you like.
