Description
Hi! I'm Olga, originally from Russia, and I've recently moved to Pai, a small town in the mountains of Northern Thailand.
I'm an artist and a big fan of nature, psychedelic art, music and creative experiments. I love painting, working with colours and textures, and finding ways to turn ordinary things into something unusual.
I'm currently creating a little art and chill space surrounded by a tropical garden. The idea is to bring nature, art and people together. I'm imagining a cosy, slightly psychedelic atmosphere with handmade decorations, colourful paintings, plants, bamboo, wood and comfortable corners where people can relax and get inspired.
We're still at the very beginning. There are ideas, materials and a beautiful space, but a lot of things are yet to be created. That's why I'd love to meet people who enjoy making things with their hands, experimenting and seeing their ideas come to life.
Pai itself is a lovely place to explore. There are mountains, waterfalls, hot springs, beautiful viewpoints, local markets, cafés, live music and a very international creative community. It's also a great place to slow down, spend time in nature and meet interesting people. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
For me, Workaway is not just about getting things done. I'd love to meet people from different backgrounds, exchange ideas and create something together.
I enjoy painting with acrylics, including fluorescent colours, and experimenting with different techniques and materials. I'm happy to share what I know, paint together and explore new creative ideas.
We can also learn together through simple DIY projects, working with natural materials and finding creative solutions with limited resources.
I'm not a professional carpenter or builder, so I'd especially love to learn from people who have experience working with wood, bamboo or making decorations.
I like having conversations about art, music, travel, culture and different ways of living. I'm also interested in learning about other people's creative experiences and traditions.
Although I'm not Thai, living in Pai gives us an opportunity to explore Northern Thailand together, visit local markets, discover local food and learn more about the area.
I hope you'll leave with some new creative experiences, good memories and the feeling that you've contributed something personal to the place. -

Accommodation
You'll have a room in a spacious house surrounded by a green garden, about 5 km from Pai town centre.
It's a peaceful place away from the busy streets, with plenty of nature around.
You'll have access to the shared kitchen, bathroom and common areas. The creative space we're working on is located nearby.
I want everyone to feel comfortable here, with enough privacy and time to relax after a day of creative activities.
I'll provide groceries for three meals a day, and you'll have access to a kitchen where you can prepare your own food.
We can also cook and eat together sometimes, depending on everyone's schedule. I enjoy trying different dishes and would love to learn recipes from your home country.
If you have any dietary preferences or restrictions, please let me know in advance so we can discuss what's possible. -
What else ...
I like a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but I also appreciate people who are independent and take initiative.
We can start the day by discussing what we'd like to work on, sharing ideas and choosing tasks depending on everyone's interests and skills.
Sometimes we'll work together, painting or making decorations. Other times you might work independently on something you enjoy.
I'd love for everyone to feel involved in the creative process, not just follow instructions.
We can share meals, have tea, listen to music, talk about our projects or occasionally explore Pai together.
Of course, everyone will also have their own free time and personal space. I don't expect us to spend every moment together.
What matters most to me is mutual respect, open communication, curiosity and a genuine interest in the project. -
