Description
About Us
Welcome to Quinta =, a unique guesthouse and retreat space nestled in the green hills of Monchique, Portugal.
Our home is a lovingly restored 19th-century manor house surrounded by nature, fruit trees, gardens, and plenty of peaceful corners to relax. On the property you'll find a natural eco-pool, a sunny vintage deck, citrus groves, berry bushes, aloe plants, a small vineyard, cozy cabins, and beautiful old stone structures that tell stories from another time.
We're just a 10-minute walk from the charming village center of Monchique, with its narrow cobblestone streets, cafés, and local markets. Yet it feels like you're right in the middle of nature, surrounded by green hills, birdsong, and starry skies.
During the summer months, Quinta transforms into a lively family holiday destination, welcoming families from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other countries. Throughout the year we also host yoga retreats, sound healing trainings, workshops, and gatherings for people from all over the world.
We are a family-run business and work together as a small international team. Everyone has their own responsibilities and contributes to creating a welcoming experience for our guests.
Team members have their own camp site area and plenty of free time to enjoy the Algarve, explore the mountains and beaches, or simply relax by the pool.

Kids Camp Leader (German speaker required)
You enjoy spending time with children and creating memorable holiday experiences. Activities may include outdoor games, treasure hunts, arts and crafts, nature adventures, family events, and creative workshops.
Fluent German is essential, as most of our children are German-speaking. Previous experience working with children is highly desirable, whether through education, childcare, youth work, outdoor education, teaching, animation, or similar fields. A background in pedagogy, social work, childcare, education, or related areas is a big plus.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is responsible, energetic, creative, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
We especially welcome applications from two friends or a couple, as our Kids Camp is always led by a team of two people working closely together.
Yoga Teacher & Guest Support
Love teaching yoga and spending your summer in Portugal?
We're looking for a yoga teacher to offer daily classes for our guests and help our team with dinner service four evenings per week. Tasks during dinner are simple and include helping in the kitchen, serving guests, and supporting the smooth running of our shared family dinners.
A warm, welcoming personality and a genuine love for working with people are just as important as your yoga experience.
Breakfast Team Member (August)
Help prepare and serve breakfast, keep the buffet area organized, assist guests, and create a warm and relaxed start to the day. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, works independently, and likes early mornings.
This position is also well suited for two friends or a couple applying together, as breakfast service is covered by a team of two.
Accommodation + Meals + Payment 5€ per hour (minimum wage)

What else ...
Monchique is one of the most beautiful mountain regions of the Algarve. In your free time, you can explore hiking trails, visit local cafés and markets, discover traditional Portuguese villages, or simply relax by the eco-pool.
The famous south coast beaches and surf spots on the west coast can be reached within 45–60 minutes by car.
Public Transport is also available
The area offers excellent opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, surfing, swimming, and exploring nature.
The center of Monchique is just a 10-minute walk away and offers supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, and all essential services.
Public transport in the Algarve is limited, so having your own car is a big advantage if you want to explore the region extensively. However, many volunteers enjoy spending most of their time locally, combining mountain life with occasional beach trips.
We host an international mix of guests, retreat participants, and volunteers throughout the year, making it easy to meet people from different countries and backgrounds.
