Description
searching for a team
We are surf camp, that takes place on west coast of Portugal close to the beach of Vale Figueiras (2 km away),one of the best beach breaks of Portugal!
We started the camp in 2003. Since then we have been always improving, so we got the Surf Resort Villa, where we accommodate our guests and work. It is awsome Huge House with lawn and swimming pool, skate ramp, etc. And we have old camp, we call "Staff camp", where we used to accomodate guests before, in bungalows. But now we all live there in the Staff camp side.
We are situated in the middle of the Alentejo Natural Park, we chose the place which is wild and out of the city rush and traffic to get a more relaxing and chilling atmosphere.
We can also stay all together with our pets in the place, and still the big cities like Sagres and Lagos can be reached in less than 30 minutes drive!! We live here as one big family, sharing the way of life with positive vibes, love and friendliness!:)

The Algarve region is unique, it's hidden paradise and the most benefit travellers could have. But definitly you need to appreciate this lifestyle, nature, countryside, surf vibe, if you want to be a part of it! So CHECK WELL where we are and where you are going, if you wish to join us. We live in the middle of Nature park, and its a countryside.
We provide with all the facilites, that we have on the "Staff" camp, and surf lessons.
Surf lessons you can join during the secound part of the day and on your days off, when there once we have free space in a group, otherwise you can use surf equipment and free surf with us, happy to give tips and advices!)
PLEASE, notice, all the facilities and surf are available just on your free time!
We live as a community and group of people, that get used to live and work together. We are chilled and open, but we used to hard work and help to each other.
We are not a big company, and live as one big family. We would be happy to make you feel like staying in a community or family!! At the same time we expect respectful and honest attitude toward the work. This is the most important for us for we avoid misunderstanding.

Please, notice, all the positions below include the wage (depend on the hours we agree salary is based on the minimal wage provided in Portugal - 760eur per month).

Nightguard - during TEENS SURF CAMPS season 2023 summer camp
July ! Minimal age 24 +
"NIGHT security" - 2 persons, to stay during the evenings and night time in house with kids - teenagers, keep peace and respect.
Description: staying at the teens camp for the nights, maintaining peace and calm at the surf resort.
Requirments: responsible, communicative with teens, with experience to act firmly.

House keeper / Helper at the kitchen with Experience! -

Minimal age 23 +
Most of all it will be cleaning (area, toilets, showers, yards, kitchen, other areas), kitchen work + making beds, washing and ironing
Working on the kitchen: washing dishes and helping of preparing breakfast and lunch (mak-ing sandwiches, for example), cleaning on the kitchen, wash dishes
Housekeeping: making beds, cleaning rooms, toilets, ironing, washing cloth, drying, etc.
Cleaning area, throwing garbage, etc.
Working on the garden (if necessary) – watering plants, cleaning flowers from weed

Accommodation
We provide our Workawayers with shared accommodation (in bungalows) in a high season, but most of the time in Private bungalows. Bungalows are in the yard with garden. Toilets and showers are shared. Two-storeyed staff house is the house for staff needs with living-room (cable tv, sofas, wi-fi,etc.), bathroom and kitchen (all equipped :) on the first floor. Laundry with washing machine.
We live all together at the same place, and we are happy to give and share with what we have.
The working place (Surf Resort) is 1 km away, and we live in an old surfcamp, where we used to have guests, but now the place is only for the staff. No mixing with guests, so you can have also your free time chilled, and your space.
Our team is 10 to 16 people of staff for the summer season. Please notice! We are living far from the city, it's a village around with cow farms, forest, hills, ocean is 2 km away downhill
We provide with transfers to the beach and back, once there is a free space in a van. The bus stop is 2 km away, and you can take a bus till Aljezur or Lagos. Taxi and uber are available too.
We have old bikes that we can sale.
What else ...
Being a surfcamp, the best benefit we can offer to our helpers is to enjoy the lifestyle close to the ocean.

I would love to stay for more time , but due to a healt problem i had to leave. Anyways it will be a pleasure to go back for the next season! Obrigado Russo and Tonya for everything.
Jonathan stayed with us for about 2 months, was a great help, excellent worker. He did the general maintanance and housekeeping work, all super good, he is very handy, net, responcible, smily

I enjoyed every moment there, Our magic bungalow, the House owned by two too big dogs, miss old jackie who used to keep me company when preparing lunch bags.
