  • Description

Aloha, We are a family run farm here on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are full time Organic macadamia nut and Kona coffee farmers and processors on 10 acres and manage 4 other organic farms nearby. We are the only Organic macadamia nut processors in the U.S. that we know of. We live off the grid, using solar and water catchment although we do have Wi-Fi and electricity in our processing facility.
We believe in integrity, having fun, and taking care of ourselves by working hard, eating healthy, and playing at the beach.
We would love help on the farm, in our processing facility. We ask 30 hours a week with a small stipend for food.
    Paid work available weekends.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We have been a host to volunteers on our farm, for 10 years and have gained so much richness in our lives because of it. I think the exchange has been mutual. We can share a simple hawaiian lifestyle, organic growing and bio-dynamic farming techniques, organic grown food, and beautiful loving people.

  • Help

Aloha and welcome! We are a family of five and run a certified organic farming and processing operation on the BIg Island of Hawaii. Our main crops are macadamia nuts and Kona coffee. We take both crops from the field to a finished product. We will need help with general farm work ( weed maintenance, fertilizing, pruning, rock moving) and processing of the crops ( pulping coffee, husking, cracking, and sorting macadamia nuts). There are always side projects as well, carpentry, plumbing ,electrical building and repair and tool maintenance. You will get a wide variety of experience here. This is a fully operational farm so there is lots of hard work, but a great atmosphere and beautiful setting in Hawaii. About 15 minutes from the ocean.
We can accommodate 1-2 people at a time.
Due to covid -19 there is currently a 14 day quarantine period for all visitors to Hawaii. You will have to stay on the farm for 14-days and take a covid-19 test which we can arrange. After that you are free to travel the island and experience Hawaii!
Thank you for your consideration, Mahalo

  • Accommodation

We have recently moved from one of our farms to the another where we now live. We still have the yurt accommodation on our southern farm ( about 10 miles away) but would rather have the workawayers here with us. We are currently setting up new housing for workaway guests so please inquire when you apply.
