    Description

We are a senior couple working to rehab our historic home in an up and coming historically important Virginia small city, Danville. We are on the National Historic Register and walking distance to most anything that you would want or need. We need help inside and out. Painting, sheetrock, gardening. You name it. You would have your own room and bathroom. Also we have a dog and cat, both friendly. No smoking! We are fairly well traveled and always looking to share cultural experiences.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Improving your English is for sure here as we are avid readers and, well with politics the way it is there is always something to talk about. You will also experience a piece of America that probably doesn't exist outside of New Hampshire or Vermont anymore. Where ballots are still hand counted. Artists and writers live alongside farmers and carpenters. Plenty of hiking trails, skiing nearby, or just experience the quiet that so many places no longer have.

An old house, 1860, like ours needs a fair amount of caring. Gardening help is needed. Painting as well. Help organizing our barn would be great! Also we are always eager to learn different cultures and maybe some language, hopefully.
