Description
Let me tell me something about myself, the city I live in and the project that we are working on.
I am a woman in my fifties, born in the sixties and happy to see so many great projects starting which have to do with sustainable living, permaculture and learning to be more conscious about oneself.
I plan to get self-sufficient in the future, to make a permaculture project with aquaponics in the North of Africa.
Currently I am working as a caregiver for diabled people. I live in the north of the Netherlands in the greenest suburb of Groningen.
Groningen is a place that I love very much, it has all the beauty of Amsterdam but is a lot smaller, you can bike to one part of the city to the other site easily. It is friendly and down to earth and peaceful.
In our neighbourhood we have a community garden, that is taken care of by ourselves, for us and the children to enjoy.Types of help and learning opportunities
Charity Work
Art Projects
Language practice
Help with Eco Projects
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Animal Care
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
General Maintenance
Help with Computers/ Internet
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will encounter local people in the community project and experience everyday life of dutch people. To live among locals is the best way to learn about a culture, even though I might not be an average dutch person....
Help
The main task for the volunteer is taking care of the puppy and the old dog when I am working. Helping in the house and garden.
The community garden needs some helping hands.
If you can make wesites, presentations, design and make 3d pictures and video that would be a great help for our permaculture project.
It is not very heavy task, but you need to be fit.
I also prefer someone who can cook healthy meals.

Love to learn better french!Accommodation
You will have your own bedroom in the house. We share the kitchen, bathroom and living.
What else ...
Groningen is a rich city, in culture, in infrastructure, in beauty, in nature. As I live next to nature you can make long hikes, or bike into the countryside. You might want to go the cinema, café's, or take a trip, the Netherlands is relatively small and by train its the best to go places.
