    Description

A few years ago me and my daughter, who is now 18, moved into our dream place just outside Uppsala, 100 km north of Stockholm. The house is a classical red wooden house with an old barn and a small cottage. I am grateful for help in the house and garden from handy volunteers. Outdoor people are welcome for sure, as I grow my own vegetabels and keep hens.

I speak English and Spanish. I have lived several years in Chile and like to receive visitors from Latin America. It would also be great to receive French speaking people, as I would like to pracise my French.
We will cook and eat together, hopefully in the garden, when the weather so permits. You are always welcome to experiment in the kitchen and we will try plates and bread from each other’s countries.
I am exploring life in the countryside and want to learn more about vegetable gardening and self sufficiency. I am open to your advice and experience.

My place is located 22 km north of Uppsala city centre, which you reach by a 15 minute-trainride. Buses and trains arrive here every 30 minutes. There is a food store one kilometer from the house. I can lend you bikes.

Uppsala is a university city with beautiful areas surrounding the cathedral from 1435, the castle from 1567 and the botanical garden. Stockholm is one hour away by train. The surroundings provide rich oppotunities for outdoor life, biking, swimming and trekking.
