Description
The idea of being part of a Work Exchange has been fascinating me for a while. The idea of introducing myself to different cultures & environments to get to know new people and learn new things sounds like a dream – which I have had for years.
Now, I am finally putting myself out there and looking for an opportunity. To introduce myself, I’m Caterine and I’m a Brazilian living in Panama for 5 years now. I have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and have been working in Corporate Finance for around 6 years. I got caught up in the rat race and have been thinking about a way out – that’s why the Work Exchange idea sounds so incredible to me.
I always had the feeling that “should be something else out there” and that’s why I always wanted to live in different places with different cultures than mine. In 2016, I spent 2 months in Peru working as a volunteer in an NGO called “Una Biblioteca para mi Pueblo” and this was one of the best experiences of my life. I moved to Panama then in 2018 as a way of living a great experience once again and I did it, but I feel like my time in Panama is over now and it is time for something new.
During the pandemic I started to practice Yoga and it completely changed my life and my life aspirations. I started to think more about my spiritual development and the type of person I am & would like to be. I feel like the Work Exchange opportunities can help me get closer to the person I think I can be.

I have a degree in Industrial Engineering and I have been working in the Marketing & Finance areas for a while. I can help you then with any administrative tasks you may have – especially the ones involving numbers. I speak three languages fluently so I can teach Portuguese, Spanish & English. I can also help you with any house activities like cleaning & cooking and I really like to draw & paint, so I think I can help with that as well!
The most important thing I guess is that I’m really open to learn new skills & help you the best way I can.
