  Hi! I'm Swadhy, passionate about my beloved city and the great Salvadoran hospitality. In our family project, we have two local employees who formally handle the main management and deep cleaning of the entire place. Volunteers don't come to replace them in their jobs, but rather to become part of the family. My biggest dream is to open the doors of Zacatecoluca to the whole world, offering a very safe and welcoming place in an authentic and genuine area, far from the usual tourist crowds. I love spending time with travelers, recommending the best local spots for delicious food, and helping them understand our culture. In my home, we greatly value the exchange of ideas and the positive energy that volunteers bring. We're looking for friends who don't just want a bed to sleep in, but who genuinely want to discover our daily life and share theirs.
  
  ¡Hola! Soy Swadhy, un apasionado por mi querida ciudad y la gran hospitalidad salvadoreña. En nuestro proyecto familiar contamos con 2 empleados locales contratados que se encargan formalmente de la gestión principal y de la limpieza profunda de todo el lugar. Los voluntarios no vienen a sustituirlos en sus trabajos, sino a integrarse como parte de la familia. Mi gran sueño es abrir las puertas de Zacatecoluca al mundo entero, ofreciendo un lugar muy seguro y acogedor en una zona auténtica y real, lejos del turismo de siempre. Me encanta pasar tiempo con los viajeros, recomendarles los mejores rincones locales para comer rico y ayudarles a entender nuestra cultura. En mi casa valoramos muchísimo el intercambio de ideas y la bonita energía que traen los voluntarios. Buscamos amigos que no solo quieran una cama donde dormir, sino que de verdad deseen descubrir nuestro día a día y compartir el suyo.

  Guías Personalizados: Te daremos los mejores consejos para visitar joyas cercanas como el Volcán Chichontepec o las aguas termales de Ichanmichen, lugares que solo los locales conocemos bien.

  Help

  The main idea behind this volunteer opportunity is to live together like a family and have a genuine cultural exchange. What excites us most is the language exchange. We'd love for you to chat with us in English on a daily basis to help us become more fluent, and in return, we'll patiently teach you Spanish while we share our daily routine. Your help welcoming arriving travelers would also be invaluable. You could chat with them in the common areas and make them feel at home by recommending beautiful places in Zacatecoluca, such as the market or nearby excursions. If you're a photographer or enjoy posting on social media, your creative ideas for showcasing our daily life are more than welcome. Like in any home, we all help each other keep the common areas tidy after use, but please remember that heavy cleaning and general maintenance are handled by our paid staff. The help is for about 4 or 5 hours a day for 5 days a week, so you'll have plenty of free time to go to the Ichanmichen swimming pools, take walks or relax with us.
  
  La idea principal de este voluntariado es convivir juntos como una familia y tener un verdadero intercambio cultural. Lo que más nos entusiasma es el intercambio de idiomas, nos encantaría que charles con nosotros en inglés en el día a día para ayudarnos a soltarnos más con el idioma, y a cambio nosotros te enseñaremos español con toda la paciencia del mundo mientras compartimos la rutina. También nos vendría genial tu ayuda para recibir a los viajeros que van llegando, conversar con ellos en las zonas comunes y hacerlos sentir como en casa recomendándoles lugares bonitos de Zacatecoluca como el mercado o paseos cercanos. Si sabes de fotografía o te gusta subir cosas a redes sociales, tus ideas creativas para mostrar nuestro día a día son más que bienvenidas. Como en toda casa, nos ayudamos entre todos a mantener el orden cotidiano en los espacios comunes después de usarlos, pero recuerda que la limpieza pesada y el mantenimiento del lugar ya lo hace nuestro personal contratado. La ayuda es de unas 4 o 5 horas al día por 5 días a la semana, así que tendrás muchísimo tiempo libre para ir a las piscinas de Ichanmichen, pasear o relajarte con nosotros.

  We offer a comfortable and safe stay so you can rest well after your adventures. We provide: Shared Room: You'll sleep in a shared room with other volunteers or travelers, designed to be cozy and clean. Amenities: Best of all, we have air conditioning! You'll also have access to high-speed Wi-Fi for your personal needs and clean water and showers. Food: We provide the basic ingredients for your meals or invite you to join our family meals so you can experience the authentic flavors of our local cuisine. You also have full access to our fully equipped kitchen if you prefer to prepare your own meals.
