  Hello!
  I'm Caroline, I'm in my forties, I have a 3-year-old daughter, and a sailor-mechanic companion who's often away.
  I live in an old stone house in a small, isolated village in Corsica, in the Castagniccia region.
  I'm a gardener and have a big garden, of vegetables, berries and herbal teas.
  My garden is gradually taking shape, and sometimes I need a little help transporting things, creating new facilities, maintaining the land and vegetable gardens, watering, etc.
  I've traveled extensively and am very excited about welcoming travelers from all walks of life to my small village, lost in nature!
  I want to continue opening myself to the world and allow my daughter to do the same, while also allowing someone to travel at a lower cost.
  Of course, I offer accommodation, food, and car transportation when I'm traveling, in exchange for a few hours of work per day or not.

  Je suis Caroline, j'ai la quarantaine, une petite fille de 3 ans et un compagnon marin mécanicien souvent absent.
  Je vis dans une vieille maison en pierres dans un petit village isolé de Corse, dans la région Castagniccia.
  Je suis jardinière et j'ai un grand jardin de légumes, petits fruits et tisanes.
  Mon jardin se met en place petit à petit et parfois j'aurais besoin d'un peu d'aide pour transporter des choses, créer de nouvelles installations, entretenir le terrain et les potagers, arroser, etc...
  J'ai beaucoup voyagé et suis très enthousiaste à l'idée d'accueillir des voyageurs de tous horizons dans mon petit village perdu au milieu de la nature!
  Je veux continuer de m'ouvrir au monde et permettre à ma fille de le faire aussi, tout en permettant à quelqu'un de voyager à moindre coût.
  Bien sûr je propose le logement, la nourriture et les déplacements en voiture lorsque je me déplace, contre quelques heures de travail quotidiennes ou non.

  We will be together as much as possible during work, you will be able to learn a lot of things depending on the activities, and so will I!
  We'll sharing all meals and other moments of exchange and discovery of the region and cultural activities.
  I'm very interested in discovering other lifestyles and languages, and I will also offer this opportunity.
  I should point out that we are calm with a young child and don't party too loudly or late.
  We are therefore looking for people who are relatively calm and composed, without any abuse.

  Nous partagerons tous les repas et d'autres moments d'échanges et de découvertes de la région et des activités culturelles.

  Help

  I'm looking for Workawayers capable of helping me with light outdoor tasks, such as watering while I'm away or not, helping with grounds maintenance, setting up new gardening equipment, harvesting, picking up fruit and vegetable pests, etc... Maybe also preparing meals, walking the dogs, playing with my daughter, it can be very varied and doesn't involve having to do everything!
  We'll do the tasks together, but not always when I have to be away or move forward with something else, for example.
  I am also looking for help with dog sitting at home just to look after our dogs when we go away for a few days, but this is very rare and I will specify this in the conversation before coming.
  I value human interaction and the opportunity to learn and discover new skills.
  
  Je recherche des personnes manuelles, capables de m'aider dans des travaux légers d'extérieur, aide à l'arrosage pendant mon absence ou non, aide à l'entretien du terrain, aide à la mise en place de nouvelles installations sur le terrain, récolte, ramassage des punaises ravageuses de fruits et légumes, etc... Peut être aussi pour préparer le repas, promener les chiens, jouer un avec ma fille, ça peut être très varié et n'implique pas de devoir tout faire!
  Nous réaliserons les tâches ensemble mais pas toujours lorsque je dois m'absenter ou avancer sur autre chose par exemple.
  Je recherche également de l'aide pour garder des chiens à domicile juste pour s'occuper de nos chiens lorsque nous partons pour quelques jours, mais c'est très rare et je le préciserai lors de la conversation avant de venir.
  Je privilégie l'échange humain et la possibilité d'apprendre de découvrir de nouvelles aptitudes.

  Accommodation

  Depending on availability, I offer either the downstairs area of our house, which includes a space with a comfortable double sofa bed, a bathroom with a toilet, a kitchen, and access to the terrace (cool in the summer and heated in the winter), or a bedroom in the attic with a double bed, heated or air-conditioned, and access to our bathroom and toilet below.
  For meals, In the morning I prefer not to share breakfast, we have a second kitchen where you can have it, in peace. We have a meal around noon, and sometimes I put my daughter to bed right afterward, and a meal in the evening between 7 and 8 p.m and then I put my daughter to bed around 9 p.m. and I often do too because I like to read.
  I buy food and drinks for meals, but not for extras and breakfast, except hot drinks.
  If you wish we can sometimes eat separately.
  In the morning at 8 a.m. and in the afternoon at 4 p.m., I regularly have to leave to take my daughter to or pick her up from the childminder's or school. In general it takes me 1 to 1.5 hours.
  
  Je propose selon les disponibilités soit le bas de notre maison qui comprend un espace avec canapé lit 2 places confortable, une salle de bain avec toilettes, une cuisine et l'accès à la terrasse, frais l'été et chauffé l'hiver, soit une chambre dans les combles avec lit 2 places chauffée ou climatisée, accès à notre salle de bain et toilettes en dessous.
  Comme repas, je ne préfère pas partager le petit déjeuner, nous avons une 2ème cuisine où vous pouvez le prendre, au calme. Nous mangeons ensemble vers midi et parfois je vais coucher ma fille juste après, un repas le soir entre 19h et 20h et ensuite je couche ma fille vers 21h et moi avec souvent car j'aime lire.
  J'achète la nourriture et boisson pour les repas mais pas pour les extras ni pour le petit déjeuner, excepté les boissons chaudes.
  Si vous le souhaitez nous pouvons parfois manger séparément.
  Le matin à 8h et l'après-midi à 16h je dois régulièrement m'absenter pour emmener ou aller chercher ma fille chez la nounou ou à l'école. Ça me prend 1h à 1h30 de temps en général.

  Our house is located in a remote village surrounded by nature, a 30-minute drive from shops and the beach. There are many opportunities for walks and river swimming nearby, with a lodge/bar open in the summer.
  We are on the first leg of the Mare a Mare hiking trail that crosses Corsica.
  You can go down to the plain with me when I go there, regularly but not every day.
  Once a week, we try to go on an outing, whether nature-related or cultural.
  There is no public transportation.
  We don't smoke inside the house and we drink very little alcohol.
  We are calm and relaxed and are looking for the same kind of people.
  As you may interact with my 3-year-old daughter, I have written guidelines to follow for child protection. They will be posted around the house and will soon be featured as a photo on my profile!
  Always in the interest of protecting my child, I ask that you provide proof of a clean criminal record before confirming your visit.

  Notre maison se trouve dans un village isolé au milieu de la nature, à 30 min de route des commerces et de la plage. Il y a de nombreuses possibilités de balades, baignade en rivière autour, avec un gîte/bar ouvert l'été.
  Nous sommes sur la 1ere étape du sentier de randonnée qui traverse la Corse Mare a Mare.
  Vous pouvez descendre en plaine avec moi quand j'y vais, régulièrement mais pas tous les jours.
  Une fois par semaine nous essayons de faire une sortie, nature ou culturelle.
  Il n'y a pas de transports en commun.
  On ne fume pas à l'intérieur de la maison et consommons peu d'alcool.
  Nous sommes calmes et posés et recherchons le même genre de personnes.
  Comme vous pouvez être amenés à avoir des interactions avec ma fille de 3 ans j'ai rédigé des directives à suivre pour la protection de l'enfance. Elles seront affichées dans la maison et bientôt en photo sur mon profil!
  Toujours dans le souhait de protéger mon enfant je vous demande de bien vouloir fournir la preuve que vous avez un casier judiciaire vierge avant de valider votre venue.
