    Description

Hi. We run a campsite located in the foothills of Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand. It is located bordering the Corbett Tiger Reserve (North Gate). We are looking for travellers who can help us out with camp activities, make our place more eco-friendly and adjust in accordance to its natural surrounding.

The camp is located near a seasonal river has professional team members who carry out their usual administrative work and are super friendly. We are surrounded by a Guava orchard and have a 2 young Himalayan Mastiffs spreading happiness all over. Since, its a camp site, we have guests coming over weekends, public holidays and otherwise. We are expecting people who have a working knowledge of English and Hindi, are enthusiastic and super creative with tasks given to them. We are looking for people who can help us with camp operations and management, reception work, guest handling and faciliate day to day activities. For the remainnig renovation work, we expect people to help us out cost-effective, innovative ideas in terms of the tasks which can be implemented. The ideas ( be it regarding waste management, decoration, energy consumption, construction. etc) needs to have a natural aspect.

About the team: The average age within our team is around 24 years with the eldest member being 32 and youngest members being 2 years old ( Our good boi doggos, of course). During day time, we work as professionals catering to our guests and at night relax just like any other person of our age group.

Our setup primarily aims at providing and promoting cultural tourism to urban Indian travelers who are yet to experience the Himalayan countryside. Since, we are situated on the foothills of Garhwal Himalayas, we take our guests to exposure visits to nearby villages to let them know more about how life of people living in the mountains really is. Since, we are also promoting our local Garhwali and Kumaoni culture via food, we are ready to share our Himalayan recipes and spices with you. Feel free to join us at nature hikes and village tours which are conducted whenever we have visitors at our camp site. Your help in planning, organising and executing these tours will be appreciated.

    ........................................................................

Since, we are in the outskirts of Corbett Tiger Reserve, we expect our workawayers to not roam outside our camp premises after dark. This, also, give you an opportunity to experience wildlife on a daily basis.

Things which are common at our campsite and you can get to experience easily are:
    a) Tiger roars.
    b) Spotting Musk deer.
    c) Himalayan migratory birds.
    d) Star Gazing.
    e) Elephants if you are travelling in nearby regions.

Workawayers can visit Corbett Tiger Reserve during their off-days as some new gates have recently been opened and are very close to our campsite. We are 20 km away from Lansdowne, a quaint hill station of Uttarakhand and home to Garhwal Rifles which is home to an army museum, Churches and old British period houses. We can also help our workawayers with one- day hikes to nearby places where they can have a full view of the mighty Garhwal Himalayas on a clear day.

Those interested in bird-watching, our camp is a best way to relax and spot some beautiful Himalayan birds. One can hike a few km up and can follow the forest trails to get a different experience altogether. :)

Since, we are surrounded by forests, the telecom connection is a bit poor, however, we have a good internet connection which saves the struggle.

A helping and understanding nature is what we seek.
