We are newly renovated lodging in Tateshina, Nagano prefecture, Japan. It is in the middle of beautiful mountains and lakes. The lodge has 20 rooms, with about 15 employees (including part-time workers). Guests enjoy mountain hiking, trekking, running, camping, mountain bikes, etc. in rich nature. There are also lots of museums and snow resorts nearby.
Creating/ Cooking family meals
First they can stay in beautiful environment for free, and hopefully they will benefit from inter-cultural experience of working with nice Japanese people and interaction with guests from various countries.
Most of us enjoy daily walk and run in the surrounding lakes and trekks, go mountain climbing, mountain-biking, skiing/snowboarding, doing art works, so hopefully workawayers can join those activities too.
Since our place is near one of the most ancient cultural area of Japan called JO-MON, there are ruins and interesting museums so workawayers can learn about historic side of Japan. Also, if visitors are interested in nature, including plants, animals, insects, weather, etc, this is the best place to go out and examine with real examples.
This host offers accommodation and payment.
Host has indicated that they will pay at least the minimum hourly wage of their country for each hour worked and that accommodation will also be provided. They are asking for help with a business or business activity. Contact the host directly via the site messenger for more information and details about the wage provided. Any arrangements should be agreed in advance with your host.
We look for foreigners to help general customer services and housekeeping, in accordance with workawayers background and interest.
We provide a dormitory with single-occupancy room with a bed with shared bathroom and kitchen, where some of other employees live in. Workawayers can also enjoy Onsen (natural hot spring) of the lodge.
- We are in the middle of beautiful mountains, including Yatsugatake, and in front Tateshina lake, so workawayers can go hiking or skiing/snowboarding, running, mountain biking, etc.
- However, transportation is not very convenient (there is public bus line, but not very frequent), so it may be convenient if they have own ways of transportation (car, motorbike, or bicycle).
- We will pay for the work, above minimum wage standard of the area. Since we do not usually serve meals for employees except special occasions, we expect workawayers to be responsible for their own food expenses from the said wage (there's a communal kitchen in the dormitory, and we will help for a transportation for grocery shopping).
- Foreign workawayers must obtain work permits or working-holiday visas in Japan.
