  • Description

    Description

We are a couple in our mid-thirties living in Switzerland, and we would love to welcome workawayers into our home for a few days.

We enjoy meeting people from different countries, exchanging stories, sharing meals, and learning about different cultures. We see this as an opportunity to connect with fellow travellers and offer someone a comfortable place to stay while they explore Switzerland.

We enjoy a relaxed home environment and appreciate people who are considerate, independent, and happy to share everyday life with others.

We are based in the Lucerne area, which is a great starting point for exploring the city, the lake, and the surrounding mountains.

We hope to learn about other cultures and perspectives while helping our guests feel welcome during their stay.

  • Help

    Help

We appreciate a little help with everyday household activities, especially in the kitchen. This might include simple things like cutting vegetables for a salad, cooking rice or pasta, or preparing a basic sauce. We usually keep meals simple, so there is no need to be an experienced cook.

One of the main things we appreciate is help cleaning up after meals, such as loading and unloading the dishwasher carefully, putting things away, and keeping the kitchen tidy. Occasionally, we might also need a hand with general tidying, sorting recycling, or picking up a few groceries.

We are flexible and happy to keep things simple. Sometimes we can do things together, while other times you might help independently. We appreciate someone who is considerate, takes initiative with everyday tasks, and enjoys sharing a home with others.

    Accommodation

We offer a private bedroom with a comfortable bed, a small desk, and Wi-Fi. The apartment has a shared shower room and a separate shared toilet.

We also have a stationary exercise bike and some basic workout equipment available if you would like to exercise during your stay.

We provide access to our everyday groceries, including breakfast items, pasta, rice, vegetables, canned goods, and other ingredients. You are welcome to prepare your own meals whenever you prefer, and there is no obligation to eat together or follow our meal schedule. If you have particular foods you would like to keep for yourself, we can arrange some space in the fridge.

Our aim is to offer a comfortable, flexible stay where you can feel at home while exploring Switzerland.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Public transport is easily accessible, with a bus stop about a five-minute walk away. There are also rental city bikes available through an app, which is a convenient way to explore Lucerne.

We are non-smokers, so smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. We appreciate a quiet and respectful home environment, especially during the evening and at night, and ask everyone to be considerate about noise.

We value cleanliness, mutual respect, and good communication. Since we share our home, we also ask that guests check with us before inviting other people over. Other than that, we hope you will feel comfortable and at home during your stay.
