Description
Hello! We are a queer couple (24 & 25) traveling to Ireland and elsewhere in Europe and around the world for the next year (perhaps longer).
We are very interested in meeting new people and building connections.
We have both spent the past several years involved in conservation and forestry work and studies across the US.
We love being outdoors, hiking, cooking, crafting, card games and reading books.
We're interested in experiencing different ways of living and growing new skills, including learning languages, farming, permaculture, foraging, eco-building, and off grid living.
We are both vegan/ plant based and practice a cruelty-free lifestyle as best we can. We are very passionate about cooking for others and would love to share delicious vegan recipes.

More details about your skills
We have both worked for various conservation organizations in the US, where we led crews, completing sustainable trail work, rockwork, carpentry, and forest ecosystem health projects. We are both experienced at using chainsaws, and forest felling for the purposes of increased biodiversity of natural spaces. We are also very interested in cooking, and have experience cooking for large groups of people, preparing delicious plant-based meals.
Maya has a degree in forestry and has a diverse skillset ranging from goat care to GIS to classical piano. Maya spent several summers working in conservation around the US doing rock work, trail work, carpentry, and fuels reduction while developing leadership skills and living outdoors. She is also skilled with technology systems.

They spent 4 growing seasons working on production vegetable farms, and are proficient at many aspects of veggie agriculture, including operating tractors/ other farm implements.
