Description
We are an Orthodox women's seminary. :)
Volunteer in our organic garden and orchard in a healthy women's only environment.
Participate in gardening class and learn ways and methods of helping the land produce its fruits. You have the option to join our Torah classes that explore insights and Chassidus through lectures, study partners, drama, and art.
Work consists of all year round weeding as well as planting vegetables and flowers. In season: picking fruits, making jam and pickles. We also have a small chicken coop. You can help us with landscaping, soil improvement, composting, pruning, and terrace building. We also have work in renovations, housekeeping, cooking, and painting.
October 2022 Intensive Garden Project
According to Jewish law, every seventh year we must let the land rest. In October 2022 we will return to working the land after a year of leaving it fallow! We will especially be looking for gardening volunteers to restore the landscaping, weeding, sowing, and planting during the month of October 2022 when we return to working the land.
We have an upcoming Post-Shmitta Garden Restoration 19-24 October 2022, we are very much in need of volunteers and it's the perfect short-term stay to see if you enjoy it here (chances are, you will).Types of help and learning opportunities
