    Description

    This Hostel is a beautiful historic building from 1981, who has been modernized and offers the loveliest views of San Luis’ downtown.
    Close to many points of interest, you can walk around and find sites of interest like San Luis Potosi Cathedral, Plaza del Carmen, Plaza de Aranzazu, where you’ll find amusement places of all kinds, from museums and cultural activities, to bars and dining restaurants.

    We offer comfortable bunkbeds, modern shared bathrooms, beautiful and fully equipped shared kitchen, and interior launch and a courtyard, where you can chill-out, watch tv, read a book or just share travel experiences with other backpackers.

    Our team is conformed by four friends and partners:
    Midori Gancedo. Leader and director of the Hostal. For Midori, there is just one thing above all: Plants.

    You will find multiple things to see and do close to our hostel. Museums, galleries, restaurants, bars, independent movies cinema, theaters, parks, historic buildings etc. Also, there are many attractions for a one-day scape such as: Cerro de San Pedro, Santa Maria del Rio, Armadillo de los Infante, Real de Catorce, etc. You´ll be able to know people from all over the world, practice your language skills.
    Additionally, if you are interested on teach about some specific topic, we can find a way to organize workshops, we have enough space here to create a learning community.

    The main tasks to be performed as part of this position include Administration management, cleaning, and housekeeping, provide assistant to the guests as well as the creation and management of the hostel’s social media content, etc. We love creative, outgoing, and proactive people that enjoys taking care of others.
    We take cleaning very seriously in all our installations; therefore, the job includes a continues oversight and cleaning of all the different zones of the hostel (including restrooms).

    You will be staying in a bunk bed at one of the all-gender dormitories. During high-demand periods, it is unlikely but possible that we will need to create an extra room for you with an air mattress. You will also have access to a locker and a modern unisex bathroom.

    We offer you a continental breakfast for free and a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare lunch or dinner. Please keep in mind we can only offer breakfast for you in the same schedule as guests take it (8.00 - 10 am). Please consider that you will need to buy your own groceries to prepare any additional food that is not included in our continental breakfast.

    You will have access to the beautiful common areas (tv room and patio) to chill, hangout, watch movies and to take part on any of the activities organized by the hotel.

    Some of the main attraction in San Luis Potosi that you can visit include:
    • The Leonora Carrington Museum and CEART (an old jail that have been remodeled and is now one of the top attractions in San Luis Potosi.
    • A great variety of churches and small plazas, historic buildings, an independent movies cinema, theaters, restaurants, and bars.
    • If you enjoy sports and outdoors, we have one of the most awesome parks just 10 min away from downtown. The Parque Tangamanga which has a running track, a planetarium, a lake and a museum.
    • Finally, there are many places to visit for one-day trips such as: Cerro de San Pedro; Santa Maria del Rio; Armadillo de los Infante; Wine route (Pozo de Luna, Cava Quintanilla) Ruta del mezcal (Ipiña, Sta. Teresa, Jurame) and Sierra de Alvarez where you can practice hiking, biking, etc.
