  • Description

Hello my name is Nathan. I’m the artistic director of an annual international music and dance festival, and we can often welcome assisting interns on the management side of the team.

I also co-founded and run a studio for yoga & healing arts which has grown into being able to welcome helpful souls. Guest yoga teachers are especially welcome to reach-out <3

  • Help

Beyond a healthy savvy for culture, no experience is necessary. French or Wolof skills is a plus. Most importantly, be inspired & open-hearted toward all facets of Dakar creative culture : ) Great if you're already in the region and "initiated" a bit to life on the continent.

When the help is not "in the field", we could really use someone with video editing talent, as we have many videos of our shows over the years which people ask about, just sitting in a hard drive...

If any of this resonates, please send us an introduction, and we can provide you with our website and further presentation. Cheers

Update: Our annual festival proper is no more, due to the passing of our godfather and primary collaborator, UNESCO "Living Human Treasure" Doudou [full name censored], just after our last edition celebrating his 85th birthday. We do still have smaller concerts and workshops ongoing throughout the year.

  • Accommodation

One room in our 3-bedroom modern flat with a big salon & balcony. In a guarded complex with a green courtyard. The complex community is a nice mix of internationals and Senegalese, in tranquil Ouakam, Cite Asecna. Our place is walking distance to beautiful beaches (as well as the Monument of the African Renaissance and the Mamelles Lighthouse - see photos). A short taxi-ride away is Almadies, which is a hotspot of surfing & nightlife.

Please do not hesitate to write a 2nd time in case of strong interest / motivation. We don’t always succeed to keep up with the inbox. If you’re a yoga teacher, please state that in the subject header of your mail. Much thanks !

Workaway indicates 25 hours a week. So that’s the maximum. It’s important for us to find the balance for guests to have their own free time to explore !
